My daughter graduated in ‘25 and had multiple TE offers (she focused on smaller schools where her stats made acceptance very likely). In a few cases, the schools offered the set rate which still would’ve made them pricey.
Ultimately she chose Geneseo. She got some merit and I’d been out of work so we qualified for Excelsior this year and next. And she is really happy there-so far she’s liked her classes and her professors, she lucked out with her roommate, and while she’s not super-social, she’s always able to find things to do on and off campus. It’s a great option!

Just checked the TE portal and found a denied from Howard. Really bummed. D26 has not received an admissions decision yet. This process is tough!

Right? We tell them not to “fall in love” with any specific outcome, but it is impossible not to talk about how one scenario or another would be awesome. And then . . .

Any information on TE or CIC/TIP for Duquesne? Other TE offers have come in, but silence from DUQ
I don’t see any updates on the spreadsheet… TE Class of 2030 - Google Sheets . It definitely seems like a lot of schools wait until the last minute. I still think this is Drexel’s strategy! (Drexel put us on a waitlist, and then said they won’t update until after 5/1)

We’re also waitlisted at Drexel. My son was in touch with the Telo contact who told him there trying to let people know by May 1, but can’t guarantee it.

Has anyone heard anything from Univ of Delaware? I’m sure this one is also a long shot (highly sought after), but it would be good to know!

This is for the waitlist for students already admitted? I wonder if that means that they do not have any space left for RD. I wish the schools would be more transparent about ED/EA and TE.
For Drexel, yes. But maybe they hold some for RD? The process is so opaque all around and varies wildly from school to school. Honestly it’s been extremely disappointing.

Someone on the FB tuition exchange page said they got TE from Delaware with the offer letter.

My son got into Clark. On the award letter it says merit scholarship of $45k per year (which is awesome)!! I’m just not sure if that is their TE, or they had already awarded those so they gave him an equivalent amount but through regular merit (because I believe $45k is their TE). Regardless, I am thrilled! Does anyone know if it will say on the award letter whether it is specifically TE? On the TELO website it still says “import decision pending”

Congratulations! If it doesn’t state TE, I would assume it is simply merit! In fact, the set rate is 44k, not 45k. So, sounds like you got a better offer! Also, I don’t think the TELO site updates very frequently. Many of ours do not show current status for a while. Congrats again!

Gosh I’m feeling beyond disheartened. I know this is a competitive process, but the heartbreak is real. The early part of my career (about the first 15 years) was in a different industry that was paycheck to paycheck IF we were lucky (husband was in the same industry). Now, he’s a public school teacher and I’ve been in higher ed since I changed career lanes. My entire college savings plan was working at a school. I changed jobs in November 2024 and left an untenable situation at a different institution that covered a generous portion of tuition anywhere vs. my new place (which is TE or full tution at the home institution). It was the right change and best for our family, but I’m kicking myself for not sticking it out for another 6 years. My kid would have been able to go anywhere they wanted with that and now we are going to be taking out loans. I feel like a terrible mom. Thank you for listening. I just had to get it out.
