Tulane EA and ED Admission Decisions - Class of 2021

oh ok thanks @panic2017 I have received the alumni interview invitations for the full tuition scholarships.

@Harryp17 me too!

Can my counselor email my admissions rep the copy of my first semester grades (deferral) or is there a specific email they send it to?

Does the date of submission matter for Tulane? I submitted my application last night and was wondering whether a late submission would have an effect on my admission decision?

I was admitted EA. I have only submitted the FAFSA and CSS to Tulane (Dec 15). I was wondering if Tulane has confirmed they have processed these for anyone? And is anyone aware of what else we’re supposed to submit?

@ZBlue17 If you log onto Gibson it will tell you what financial aid documents they have and what they still need.

Did anyone else get a decision today?

I was deferred EA but I just got my acceptance today!!! Wasn’t expecting it until like mid-March. Regular decision deadline closed a few days ago, so I guess when they saw the pool of applicants they decided to admit me. I got a 29 ACT (31 super score). GPA UW is 3.8, and W is 4.6. Went to a very large public school in CT. Many extracurriculars, such as newspaper, music, and music therapy for Alztheimers individuals. Got merit scholarship for $12000 annually.

@musical99 did they send you an email?

@my2kidsnj yes they sent an email saying my status was updated. Wasn’t expecting this, but when I was deferred I emailed my regional rep saying how interested I was and I guess when they saw the regular decision pool I was an easy admit once they knew I had interest

Just curious does anyone get accepted without any AP classes? My school doesn’t offer AP but they offer dual enrollment through a local university.

@musical99 Did they offer you the merit scholarship with your acceptance right in the email?

My D got in yesterday after being deferred as well, but I doubt she’ll be able to go unless she hits on one of the full scholarships she applied for (29 ACT, 1270 SAT, and 3.5 UW)

@ignoramusdad yes, when I opened the online letter it said directly in it the scholarship amount

@musical99 That’s what I figured. My D’s online letter has no such $$ offers

In our experience Tulane gave us financial aid amount similar to our NET price calculation . You may want to submit FAFSA, CSS profile and mail documents needed by Financial aid office ASAP. As we are attending Destination Tulane, we will be able to meet the financial aid counselors. I would recommend participating in Tulane’s online chats. They had one on Tuesday 1/17.

yes all fafsa and CSS profiles are in. My income is too high. I think my net price calc according to fafsa is like 50K. Was hoping for some merit help

How do you check this @ignoramusdad @microrna ?

Tulane sends email notification to the applicant on update on financial aid. The information is posted on the applicant’s Gibson portal/Financial aid tab. Sending an email to the financial aid office asking about the anticipated date for financial aid notification may expedite the process. I guess this also reflects your strong interest in attending Tulane.

Not sure what you mean by Financial Aid tab.
