I was accepted ED actually @jym626 . The strange thing is that I checked the website on Wednesday and did not see the link then, but I just assumed they were making adjustments to the website. So, I continued to work on the project but now I need to look at the instructions again. I’ve tried every way I can think of to try to find them.
You can email your admissions counselor or Jeff Schiffman
Okay thank you for your help, I appreciate it @jym626
Thanks a ton! @fun1234
Hi, I just emailed my admissions counselor and he said most decisions from now on will be released closer to the 20th, not the scattered releases anymore.
Is there usually an email when decision is up on portal? Or will I just check someday and it might be there?
And does being a legacy help?
Even though I received the top merit scholarship I’m still not sure if Tulane will even be affordable. It really is expensive.
Do you mind posting your stats? Is the top merit scholarship $30,000? At a cost of approximately $64,000.00 (tuition and all costs-from school website), the full cost is very high, but everyone has a different idea about what they are willing and able to pay.
It depends on your family’s priorities. Have you set a cost for attending college? What will your parents contribute? Will you need to take out loans? What are your other options?
There is much to consider.
@harper8 I posted my stats a little bit earlier but I have a 33 ACT 4.0 UW and all the AP classes my school has to offer (4). I got the 32,000 dollar a year scholarship and a couple other outside scholarships which leaves the total cost per year at about 29,000 dollars. My parents have not decided how much they can contribute and we received little to no financial aid (lots of income but not a lot of it is liquidated). Right now Im applying for the full scholarships and applying for a TON out outside scholarships and hoping I can make it work.
I am still waiting on an acceptance from some other schools but I’m not sure if they will give me as much as Tulane is offering me in money.
@harper8: In-state tuition, room and board at any public school cannot be much less than $29K/yr. Check into it, but if Tulane is your #1, it doesn’t seem more expensive than public schools. Although, I haven’t accounted for public school aid/scholarships. What will be the net difference in cost between the best public school in your state, and Tulane?
@2017girly
from what i have hear it does help.
So should we not expect another wave of decisions tomorrow?
When exactually is the Tulane scholarship due tomorrow what is the eastern time where on the website can I varify it
I looked at last years CC posts and it was something like this…pretty good amount of decisions on portal the Monday before the deadline(not Monday the 15th). Then midweek some deferrals started to roll out but even after those there were still some Acceptances and even some on the weekend before the deadline (some on Sunday). This may change due to ED in the mix but seems fairly random.
@element59 definitely not. i applied EA 11/13 and was accepted 11/24
@fun1234 - the scholarship is due December 5 by 11:59PM PT.
@tod4sl0sd1as I submitted my app on 11/13 too. What are your stats? Are you for LA? And did you do the supplement?
Hey! I was admitted about 2 weeks ago with $27000 for merit. I just submitted the Deans Honor Scholarship but it was just a picture I drew of the Taj Mahal… does it have a chance or they usually select the projects that are videos?? I connected it to my culture in the commentary but I don’t know if the commentary really matters… thanks (I am applying from TX)
really hoping for a portal update tomorrow… fingers crossed!
