Ugh, historically, do most people who get a decision near the end of the deadline get deferred? Judging from last year, does anyone know?
@789frizbee If you are deferred, you’re released from the contract.
@element59 There seems to be a burst of both acceptances and deferrals at the very end. Which is both encouraging and terrifying at the same time.
wish they were all released the same day so this wouldn’t happen…
all this guessing and maybes as to what day they will be released is driving me crazy
Lol, next time guys
@mimimo7890 agreed. It seems that a lot of unnecessary stress has been caused…
I have been hearing next time for the past month lol
If my recommender for the DHS hasn’t submitted my rec yet should I email admissions? The teacher said they were happy to do it but it isn’t showing up as received on the portal.
Ya gotta risk it to get the biscuit…
@789frizbee National college day is May 1, which means deposits are due may 1. so if you are hearing back from a school in June thats kind of odd. That being said ALOT of people wait last minute to deposit and I’m sure you’ll find a roommate even that late.
@hamsamcam17 there is actually a fair amount of movement in the summer. Its known as the"summer melt". People get off wait lists, free up spots for others to then get off the wait list from the school the first student will no longer attend, etc.
Has anyone called admissions tonight to find out if anything will be posted?!
I would love if someone did that
yes someone should
Can one of the parents on here do it? Mommmm
Also how did people find out that the decisions are realized on mondays and is that reliable?
Can you hear other days?
@hbrunner just because it hasn’t shown up on the portal yet doesn’t necessarily mean it hasn’t been received. Even if the teacher sent the rec today it would still have to process through the system (and thousands of documents were received today over the last few days) so it may take a while to show in the backend. However, as long as they sent it by today it’s fine.
I’m sure they’re closed…
