Yes, we are HBO subscribers, but I’ve never used HBO GO. How do you stream it from HBO GO? (Sorry, neophytes here when it comes to streaming options)

It has been a while, so my apologies if I get this wrong, and hopefully someone else can chime in to help. Basically there are several ways to view HBO GO. There is an iPad app, there is the website to your computer screen (just google hbo go) or you can stream through a device like xbox 360. All the interfaces will ask you for your cable provider through which you subscribe to HBO. Then they will ask for you to sign-in with the main email account associated with that cable provider. So for example, we have the Verizon FIOS bundled package and had to remember the verizon.net email we NEVER normally use because we use gmail, etc. Your provider can help you too if you need further help. It’s worth the small hassle to get set up then binge stream The Wire. Once into the HBO GO application it is easy to find the episodes in sequence. Then you can binge watch Game of Thrones too!

Slightly off topic, but has anyone seen the episode of Portlandia where they binge watch “Battlestar Galactica?” It’s called “One Moore Episode”–really funny! Speaking of which, Portlandia might be a fun show to binge watch. The first 3 seasons are streaming on Netflix.

Prison Break, but just the first two seasons.

Fringe
Walking Dead
Another vote for Nip/Tuck----what a great show! I think I missed a season, so that will be something for me to do.
American Horror Story if you like Nip/Tuck

This makes me want to binge watch BG.

I am in the middle of binge watching “Orphan Black” on Infinity to Go. It’s a BBC show that takes place in Canada and is about a girl who finds out she is a Clone and there someone is out there killing off the others like her. It is SO INTERESTING.

I also have binged on:

The Walking Dead
Downton Abby
Shameless
Orange is the New Black
True Blood
Game of Thrones

I think that’s free to stream for Amazon Prime members. If so then I will probably try it. Great thread everybody!

Awesome. We have Chromecast, so we can use the HBO GO website, then stream it from the laptop! So glad I asked. (Comcast is our cable provider) Thank you so much for sharing this with me.

*" It’s called “One Moore Episode”–really funny! *
Also the episode with an Eddie Vedder dream sequence in which he sports a really bad tattoo of Ani Difranco.
I love the cameos on Portlandia, especially Jeff Goldblum.

mom2jl - Haha, yes! Love Portlandia and that scene was so real.

My votes go to Orange is the New Black, Freaks & Geeks, and Friday Night Lights. I binge-watched the first two earlier this year and literally couldn’t pull myself away.

My mom binge watched Friday Night Lights a few weeks ago and loved it so much she has since binged watched it two or three more times. Now my dad is watching it. I’d like to watch it again, I watched the entire series in a week or two and I am afraid I don’t remember much anymore. I’d like to re-watch the first season of The Killing, too. My fiance and I watched the entire season one hot summer weekend when our AC was broken in our apartment, it was over 85 degrees in our apt and we spent the whole weekend on the couch with the blinds closed and four fans pointing at us. With bowls of ice cream! That show turned a nightmare into one of our favorite memories together.

Lately I have been TRYING to binge watch Scandal but my fiance won’t watch that one and keeps interfering with me.

Have to remember to watch Duff McKagan who was on portlandia this week, but I just ordered first season of Game of Thrones and Ive watched three already today. :">
Damn, it is bloodier than Justified!
( plus how long do I have to wait for someone to kill Joffrey?)

Another vote for House of Cards, Scandal, The Good Wife, Sherlock, True Detective.

I’m binging now on Firefly due to all the recommendations here.

The Americans!
The Americans!
The Americans!

Seriously, it’s really good.

I’ve heard so much about Scandal. And all this stuff in the media lately about The Good Wife has certainly made me want to get into that show too! Loving all these suggestions!

Its so hard to find a show that I care about any of the characters, they seem written to test the limits of my patience. You know its bad when Rowan Pope has become one of the most sympathetic characters on Scandal.
IMO :-S ( hard to stay on Team Jake)
Of course Id pay to hear Joe Morton read the phone book.
When is OITNB going to start?

The problem with binge watching both Scandal and House of Cards is that I’m getting them mixed up. It’s hard to keep up with who in the White House killed who and who slept with who on each show.

Just started watching Orphan Black. Thumbs up.

We watched Battlestar Gallactica a few years ago – great show, but so so dark. It was hard to watch more than a few episodes at a time.

Season 2 of Orange is the New Black starts sometime in June, I think.

I think season 2 of Orphan Black starts in April. I watched the season 1 finale last nite and I am so hooked.

^^^ I plan to re-watch Orphan Black before Season 2 starts. I watched it as it aired and found it hard to wait till the next episode. I’m glad it’s available to binge watch.

Season 2 starts April 19 on BBC America. (For Season 1 it aired at 9:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. Season 2 - the same time, I’d bet.)

By the way, it may take a few episodes to get into the story. My husband gave it up right before it got really good. I may try to get him to give it another try.
