Twitter hijacks CC on iPad!

It seems fine now. This morning was the first time I had this issue with iPad and CC. I did nothing, seems to have been resolved.

Working okay now.

Had the redirect to the fake Twitter site on both iPad and iPhone. iPhone went away and is back to normal.

How do you know it was a “fake” Twitter site? Did yours have a picture of men playing cricket in front of a mosque?

It seems that this hijack issue does not require the iPad to be re-booted or to have the cache cleared. I saw this problem this morning, suspected it had even re-hijacked, and tried again two hours later and CC had fixed the problem.

However, it looks like a few of us learned new tricks on our gadgets thanks to all the smart people out there.

Not in the least, as my post was not about this precise incident but about the nasty habit of Apple to deny problems and fail to address problems. Happens when your customer base is mostly composed of fanboys and technically clueless persons.

Like it or not, but fixing problems with Apple products is often only solved by returning or buying a new one. Dealing with a problem is often futile and frustrating.

And I own almost all of their mobile products.

Just wanted to post this update. Roger posted on the community and forum issues section tonight that the CC forum was indeed hacked between Feb 5-10. All users should be receiving an email with information and instructions. Basically, you should change your CC password as well as Facebook and Twitter passwords. You also need to run antivirus software on your computer.
