@lifeissohard lol you still have 8 days though!
@Lifeissohard I’m sure it will be fine, but you can try using Parchment if you still want to send in an unofficial transcript. It’s what I used to get my transcript and there was no need to contact my counselor(remember that you only need your counselor if it’s an OFFICIAL transcript). I got it within a week- so you’ll have it by the 18th for sure if you get on it quickly.
finally sent in my little waitlist blurb!
just submitted my waitlist opt-in form, but when I click “display” to review my personal essay, the indentation I used to separate paragraphs just automatically disappeared…I wonder whether the form was designed so or it was a systematic error? anyone here has encountered the same problem?
Hey hav u all comitted to ur respective schools

@sike4123 Thanks!

@sike4123 thanks really helpful. @thenewstyped True aha. Hopefully this waitlist thing isn’t first time first served kinda thing.
GuysI just found out (came from spring break lol) I am the only one waitlisted among my classmates. There are 500 seniors, so I do not know about the rest of my senior class; however, social media like snapchat, instragam the seniors never mention anything about waitlisted. Only rejection or accepted. Only about 8 people got accepted, and a lot rejected since UC looks down to public schools. But do you guys think the waitlist goes from your high school?
Does anyone know what does public health major offers such as organizations, and stuff like that? Do they have their own clubs? I tried my best researching, but I came out nothing.
Do you guys know if there’s any benefit to submitting our waitlist opt-in early?
@xshadowoflightx not an official source but my friend who was waitlisted and got off of waitlist said that out of all the 40 or so ppl she knows that got off of waitlist all of them had to either sign up for fpf, study abroad, or otherwise not normally enroll till spring (but fpf at berkeley still lets u have normal experience, save for smaller classes but they’re either around or on campus)
Does anyone know if one is allowed to accept a statement of intent to attend another university while opting in for the waitlist? The UC waitlist common questions page, seems to answer this as a yes, in fact “encouraged to do so” if I’m not mistaken. If this is a yes, what happens if Berkeley bumps the person off the waitlist; are they allowed to terminate the statement of intent or what?
@tamano 33% ppl can not be offfered conditional admission…
@MidNiteTots yeah idk how exactly but the general rule is you SIR to one place, and if you get off of a waitlist, you have the power to say no (idk how tho) to your original school and re-SIR to the new school
@USUG21 again, I’m not saying she knows everyone but even if 100% of waitlists who get in (last year about 1,000) that’d be about 15% of the entire grade
@MidNiteTots yeah you pretty much have to SIR to another school if you’re on the waitlist, you can choose to wait until the last minute (last year apparently a handful of people heard back on the 23rd) but chances are you’ll have to lose that $300 or so on the other school’s deposit if you’re hoping to get in off waitlis
California applicabts if u can contact ur seniors in ur school then u can know the real picture of WL applicants last year and can share it here.
@SillyJillie423 That’ll be unfair. It isn’t first time first served kinda thing
@Lifeissohard dont panic. Its clearly written in UC WAITLIST ADMIT GUIDE that UCs dont rank WLers according to speed. . Pl google and read. Ur passion ll help u get into CAL.
