Do you still get the option to choose a roommate if you are on the waitlist? I am assuming that your roommate and dorm will be assigned. At least that is how it works at my college I sent my SIR to.

Maybe, but what is wrong with FPF. We can take all our gen ed requirements there while adjusting to college life, then next semester be full time enrolled at UC Berkeley.

Do you think it is harder to get off the waitlist with a rare major (sustainable environmental design?) I am afraid that everyone with that major would choose Berkeley over anywhere else just like i would 
The email my D received said she had until 4/18 at 11:59 to opt-in for the waitlist, but I just read the UC website listed the 15th. Can anyone verify which date is accurate?

About what percent of the open spots are given to OOS waitlist students? I am an OOS L&S CS major waitlist and I’ve heard OOS students are given less of a priority compared to in-state students…
