*****UC Berkeley 2021 Waitlist Thread*****

@lostinlife2021 I would for surely choose FPF (either Berkeley or SF). However, especially Berkeley. @clearglassy True.
I am scared if I get the January start. I’ll be so BEHIND! I wouldn’t like taking ccc during the fall so I would like maybe travel or something. But that is a IF. LLOL.

@lostinlife2021 2014 was the 21% because it was there first year using the waitlist system!

@lostinlife2021 I am sure that they choose for you for regular fall.

@Lifeissohard I’m honestly so stressed out from this… I’ve been on CC for everyday for like the past two weeks ugh… What college did you apply for? Hopefully we’ll get to see each other at Cal in Fall or at least in FPF Berkeley /:slight_smile:

@lostinlife2021 yeah, FPF berkeley ran out quite fast :frowning: i think most ppl choose FPF SF after that but ofc its less ideal considering u have to travel and stuff…

Yeah, I think engineering only offers the regular admit and jan admit but tbh i dont mind any choice at all i just want to be accepted

@lostinlife2021 best of luck to you too man! hope to see u ard in berkeley campus :slight_smile:

@yin Haha! Yeah, I know what you mean… Berkeley’s been my dream literally since I was like 8. I’m sure you’ll be able to get in though :slight_smile: Praying for you!!

@yin May I ask what kind of engineering you applied for? I was admitted for engineering at this less competitive university in Canada, but I’m not sure if I would like to enrol or not just cause I’m not too sure if I would enjoy engineering…

@lostinlife2021 I am applying for biomed engin! what course did you apply to for Berkeley admission? yeah I think I was in your shoes a few months ago. I guess I was sure I wanted to take engin after I watched the youtube videos posted by some unis and I kinda liked what they were doing… but i guess what i like abt us edu system is that it is comparatively easy to switch majors so you can figure it out along the way :slight_smile:

@lostinlife Haha yeah, I know what you mean. I have been on CC religiously since March 31st, aha. I pray every day for the best, man. I have been dreaming about UCB since middle school. I thought it was impossible to go UCB; I was a bad kid back then. However, I got on track during my high school years.(Thank God.) Hopefully we all get into UCB, to be honest, we deserve it! I would love to meet y’all, ahahhahaha, if we get accepted. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF US!

I applied to 13 colleges, got accepted to 12, waitlisted to one: UCB

The UCs I got accepted to are: UCD, UCSB, UCSC

I’ll for surely SIR to UCDavis. It has the major what I want. (NPB) UCSB I chose a random major, smh.

How about you?

@Lifeissohard Wow! Congrats on getting accepted to 12 universities though! That’s impressive :slight_smile:

@yin For the Canadian universities, I know that you don’t actually declare which type of engineering until your second year; however, when looking at the pamphlet I was most interested in Biomedical engineering (since ideally I want to do something in the field of medicine). However, since I know that the US universities are especially competitive for engineering, I chose to apply to Molecular Bio & Biochem (in L&S), as I think it also fulfills pre-med requirements!

@lostinlife2021 it’s just that FPF is only offered for LAS students, so eng and others can only do global edge or jan start if they’re not offered fall admission

@lostinlife2021 ahhh i see that we have similar interest!! but im not in the pre-med track. yeah I also have an offer from NUS and NTU but i will definitely forego everything if I am accepted here

@lostinlife2021 anyways if you sfill want biomed engin you can always switch major so all’s good :smiley: (just a matter of admission lmao)

@lostinlife2021 Thank you so much!!!

Am I the only one interested in the Global Edge program? lol

Is thr any chance of result for some ppl coming out?

actually me but money thooooo @astroLyf

@astroLyf Man, it’s interesting and all. But like idk kinda scary experience traveling alone, but also a good experience you get to explore in the UK which is really cool.

@USUG21 What do you mean?
