I think some schools it is faster to hear back from the WL because after students SIR to a school, some of them deny admissions offers in all their other schools’ portals, which is why UCSC can already start pulling off the WL
I’m planning on just waiting and hoping and praying (lol) for an email regarding an update on the portal.
I think from previous years they don’t state whether you are denied or not until June 1st? So if you don’t receive anything you have to keep waiting until 6/1 T^T
Sooooo I’m just gonna put the WLs at the back of my mind 
cuz otherwise, too much anxiety lol
@akizaka46 I know that it’s really rare, but I have also heard of a few stories, in which past students would get admitted at the end of June or even July!!
If we hear back in July we should say no, after June 1 I am 100% committed to whatever school I choose to enroll
Teensy correction, @Hardzworker – UCSC is ranked 30th in public schools (assuming you’re referring to USNWR rankings. @Hardzworker for internationals even any result beyond mid may is useless as we hav to do visa processing .
@USUG21 I did some really quick research about student visas & I think that it should be fine. According to one website, US student visas should take approximately 3-5 weeks. Therefore, it should be more than enough time even if you were to get accepted in mid-May!

Hoping the people who heard back so late were just from earlier years when the waitlist process was very new lol. after 6/1 if there’s still no clear answer on the portal i’m just gonna stop thinking about it lol
