@calhopeful2021 - While this defies logic, I am hoping that for whatever reason they have not started going down the list of L&S intended CS majors and I hope the next wave includes L&S intended CS majors. All we can do is hang in there…

My friend from my school (btw in-state) got off the waitlist for L&S CS last friday…

I got accepted from the wait-list to the College of Letters and Science. However, I was admitted for January 2018 as supposed to Fall 2017. Does anyone know if I can change that?

Any Econ. majors off of the waitlist ?
@love-vball123 yeah you can enter the FPF program at Berkeley or San Francisco (: it’s an option for waitlisted students get into school for the fall. Same benefits as fall admits. Differences are that the classes are smaller. This time can be used to get our breadth and American Cultures requirements done.
I didn’t get in the first wave and I’m really at a loss here, I don’t know what to do. I sent a handwritten letter to the admissions office saying how interested I am. I feel like I’m just sitting around letting this opportunity pass. Did any of you do anything besides filling out the waitlist opt in form? Is there anything I can do to help my chances? My grades went up a lot in the 3rd quarter and I won some awards I told them about, I have no clue what they’re looking for!
@arjoy99 I got in just with my waitlist opt in form. However, I did make sure my waitlist essay was very powerful and convincing. Berkeley did not want any additional information. They’re known for not wanting any additional information unless asked. Just the waiting game now.
@arjoy99 Yeah, I just got in with my waitlist form: updated grades and notable happenings in my extracurricular activities. I don’t think you should do much else–I’m sure the waitlist is huge so it’s probably better you don’t send more information.
Anyone hear back about intending social science? I did not hear back the first wave and hoping to hear back this Friday! eek
ahh I didn’t know they are against additional information- maybe sending the letter was a bad idea
@carment I know 2 people who got off the waitlist for econ at my school. Both were admitted for January start.
@PMotorradM How good was your friend? Do you know his GPA, test scores, and extra cirriculars? Also do you know if he is accepting his offer?
anybody here waitlisted for Biomedical Engineering and has heard back in the first wave???
can someone read my waitlist opt in and tell me if they think I blew it? I tried to stand out but now I’m panicking it wasn’t worth the risk lol
