***UC Berkeley Class of 2019 Applicant Discussion***

@cnwu15 Same problem here. Any solution?

for those who got “Fall Program for Freshmen”
go here & get answers. My son got the same offer.
It used to be Spring admission but it changed to a better program starting this year.

Woke up at 6am local time (+1) to find out I had been admitted! I’m an international applicant, but my stats are terrible. 3.73 GPA and 1950 SAT. I feel kinda sucky knowing that people with way better stats didn’t get admitted. Maybe they’re admitting me for the international tuition? Either way I’m super excited!

FPF is an excellent program! As a participant last semester, I thought it was an excellent transition to the larger campus and allowed me to get more time with my professors and better grades!
Berkeley has limited space in the fall so FPF is a way to divert a small group of 700 off campus for the semester. You should feel lucky to have been chosen!

Accepted International for Energy Engineering! Couldn’t be happier, especially because my scores were weak despite the 2300+ SAT

@xRuhan‌ you are a “spring admit” even though Berkeley doesn’t use that term anymore. I recommend accepting a spot in FPF. You’ll get to take Berkeley level classes with many of the same professors and enjoy all the same aspects of campus life as a normal student.

Is FPF only for one semester? and then students go to regular classes?

guys where can I check my Berkeley decision? Berkeley didn’t send me any email. Is there any website to check my status? And is there anyone you know who got accepted to Berkeley with a 1750 SAT score? I got accepted to UCSD but rejected from UCLA. I really want to go to Berkeley though…

@Nizamikn‌ https://students.berkeley.edu/myberkeley/myberkeleyapp.asp

I GOT ACCEPTED!!! I didn’t even know the decisions were released until I checked CC this morning wow I’m so happy!!!

Rejected and thanks @xRuhan

FPF is FALL Semester only. LOL… at least I am 98% sure… for Spring 2016 you are out of the FPF special program.

I’m gonna do future applicants a solid as well and list my stats too.

Don’t feel bad that you got in over other people. There is a method to the admissions madness, even though it seems completely random. Those who are completely unqualified academically are completely thrown out of the mix, and then the ppl from admissions go through and make their cuts. You deserve to get in, and don’t let anyone guilt you into thinking otherwise

I cant figure out my descision… how do i set up my portal?

Hey guys, I just got admitted to UC Berkeley for the college of chemistry. Just wondering, how selective is the college of chemistry compared to others. Also, I heard that the college that your major is in (e.g. college of chemistry, college of engineering, college of natural resources, etc.) will be looked at to compare applicants of the same college rather than the actual major itself. For example, will students who applied for chemical biology be compared with students in chemical biology or will they be compared with students who also had majors in the college of chemistry (chemical biology, chemistry, chemical engineering). Sorry if my wording is a bit confusing.

I’m a bit late to the party, but ACCEPTED TO EECS!! Yay!

@Kateraz‌ me too! I totally did not expect to get in. I didn’t take a science subject test, only math. And my math grades have been my lowest (mostly because I’m two years ahead, although I’ve mostly caught up to myself) and I’m terrible at physics. I woke up this morning, read it absentmindedly still have asleep, blinked, reread it, fell out of bed. Then ran screaming downstairs, ensuring my neighbors were awake too. I was rejected from UCLA and I got into UCSD, but not engineering. This was a total shock.

Accepted! I was in so much shock, and I was SO set on going to LA, now I honestly don’t know where to go! Is anyone attending the Bridges Senior Weekend April16th-18th? (or at least submitted an RSVP to maybe be chosen to go…)
