^^^ some people are speculating things about numbers of addresses in the portal and if they suggest anything about decisions… no one knows if they mean anything, and i personally don’t think they mean anything by the look of all these weird and sudden changes
Addresses started with something someone wrote post #1290 :-?? Could be totally nothing but it is interesting
@Chrisq1 I had 2 addresses which changed to 4 yesterday and now there are 5 addresses. 3 mailing and 2 permanent. Is that a good or bad sign? Thought it was supposed to go back to 2 addresses. Thanks for your help.
well i am a stupid dumb idiot that applied to neurobiology with a 1230 sat so not getting the email and also only having 2 addresses makes a lot of sense to me, so stoked for my rejection tomorrow!!!

“Freshman decisions will be released approximately late afternoon / early evening (Pacific time) on March 29, 2018, via the MAP@Berkeley portal.”
This is my d’s #1 school choice but in or out, we are not enrolling at this time. We are OOS and with the acceptances from 3 other UC schools comparing to merit scholarships she received instate and other OOS ok schools, I just don’t think it is worth for us to make such a huge financial sacrifice to send her to CA. She’s very upset however, I let her apply thinking that she wouldn’t get in but now it’s decision time for us. We can pay the OOS tuition but it will be tight on our budget and a lot of sacrifices to be made for sure to avoid not having to get the parent loan. She can live a happy life without having to worry about paying off a student loan after college going instate. I feel sad however just because she’s very upset with our decision. Recap: There was a financial aid email that was sent to a small group of people that said “congratulations on your admittance to UCB…” and then talked about your financial aid package. Then another email was sent that said the email that was sent (the one I just said before) had nothing to do with admissions decisions. People are now overanalyzing everything from trying to log in and check their decisions through summer sessions, and are ranting about what 4,2 or 4 addresses mean (Berkeley admissions clearly said it had to correlation, so calm down). There is literally less than 6 hours left till decisions will start coming out, be patient the real decision will come out soon.
This whole addresses thing is weird I have 6!
lol, this is why it has literally no correlation, and I’m sure Berkeley might be messing with us since they probably saw that we were talking about this.

ok guys i got the email on sunday but my stats are pretty low (gpa 3.8 sat 1350 and mediocre ecs)
did anyone else get the email but not feel like youd get in??
I wish Berkeley would be a legacy school. My selfish butt has five relatives who went there and my brother is going there right now. At least then maybe I’d have a chance.

Hey those not mediocre my SAT is considersably worse and I got into UCLA. Remember stats don’t tell the whole story and do not determine decisions.
I got the email on Sunday, have 2 addresses, my stats are pretty low (sat:1110, GPA:4.6, 400+ hours of community service for all 4 years of HS, and a lot of EC’s), I honestly don’t even know if I have a chance of getting in.
