now yall are exaggerating @huanhoy
I sincerely think those that got the email got in.
@meb1meb1 im sending an airkiss ur way
We will see tomorrow! My stats are (GPA; 4.56 and SAT:1190) and I’ve gotten into UCR, UCI, UCSD, and UCLA. Just waiting on my top choice!!!
ya that would make a lot of sense but im just filled w so much doubt especially after being rejected from ucsd
Honestly I don’t even know what to say about the UC system because they are so weird and picky this year
Are most of you here in-state? I’m applying from Southeast
Yeah I am in state
@Adrian127Frias How u got a 4.56 and 1190?
in state
@Davidjcshen Grade inflation to the MAX
hey, it’s not always about the grades and test score, sometimes they look more at the student, like EC’s and essay (mainly essays). They want a student who is committed, not just a number.
Not necessarily a good thing to be in-state. Those UC’s want that out of state tuition money. It’s much more costly.
I’m from California and one thing to remember is that Berkeley’s core values include grit and social justice - this is coming from a representative who spoke to my college counselor - and they’re looking for students who reflect well roundedness and direction. They already have an incredible reputation and don’t need to focus on accepting only the highest stats applicants. Their approach is entirely wholistic, and since most applicants are qualified by grades, they’re looking at essays and extracurriculars very strongly. Hope is certainly not lost - or at least I hope, coming from a 3.7UW 4W 34 ACT applicant! (But hey, my ECs and essays were unique and that somehow pushed me through into the honors college at SB as well as USC and Cal Poly… hoping to continue that trend). Basically what I’m saying is to keep an open mindset and remember that every applicant brings something to the table - good luck everyone!
I really hope they do it by like 5pm and not right at 11:59, I’m going to be anxious all day.
Do anybody know what time they will release decisions tomorrow?
@greenj34 the email in early feb said it’d be “late afternoon early evening” which hopefully means 5, but not their twitter theyre telling people who asked the same question it’ll just be by 11:59
