Lastly, I was curious in what the Fall Program for Freshmen is. Is it more/less rigorous than traditional pathway? Is it a good choice for my freshman year?

@CompSci1999 I was in Fall Program for Freshman. And personally, I hated the experience because you only can take breadth classes. They are easier than traditional pathway, but I would not recommend it… Because I only took breadth classes, I have to take summer classes to catch up to other students:’(
rejected but hey not too sad about it
congrats to all those who got in
hope we all end up where we’re meant to be!!
@sophie052900 I committed to carnegie mellon before I found out that I got off the waitlist. I found out my acceptance email on May 5th(first batch of acceptance from the waitlist pool). The essay that I put was about why I wanted to go to berkeley, any updates, and why Berkeley would be a great fit for me. When I got off the waitlist, there wasn’t a traditional pathway, it was just fall program for freshman, london pathway, and taking gap year first semester. Hope it helps:)

@aniles272 that’s an awful daily commute either way,
We live not too far from Davis, and we LOVE the town. So many great restaurants, it’s safe, the campus is spread out but nice IMO. Love all the animals.
It is my daughter’s top choice, but she was waitlisted.
What I can tell you about Davis vs. SF is it’s cheap to live there. We took a tour, and the tour leader told us he lived in a 4 best, 4 bathroom apartment right near campus, and his part was only $400/month. Now this WAS 3 years ago when my oldest was looking, so it may be a bit more. But if you can find roommates, this could be an option to avoid that commute.
