UC Berkeley - Class of 2022 Applicants Thread

When does the Haas stuff come out?

@tree329 i think you can

@momofNASAnerd and @aniles272 We toured Davis and stayed overnight. My H and I absolutely loved the town. S was a little hesitant when we arrived (he’s a city kid), but loved it 24 hours later.

Not really related, but if I choose ucb, am I supposed to decline other acceptances or do I leave it alone?

@omidd: It is common courtesy to notify schools that you will not be attending.

@Yaboical Mine is like that too! I’m calling tomorrow to ask about it because I can’t find any similar experiences online.

@ballin2022 Haas isn’t a program for freshman. You have to reapply when you are a sophomore.

@tree329 Anyone can attend Cal day!

D ‘s accepted letter said she is accepted in Haas business school global management program, freshman year 1st semester in London, does this mean she is in Haas already? but I also heard you can only get in Haas at junior year?

on the wait list opt in form it gives the option of the fall for freshmen and london. Is there any chance of a student being able to attend berkely on the traditional pathway? pros and cons to fall for freshmen?

@ProfessorPlum168

Students are not admitted directly to CS in the College of L&S. If he decides to attend, he will need to meet a minimum GPA threshold (I believe a 3.3) in his pre-req technical courses Some of the initial classes are considered “weeder” courses. Many do declare CS successfully but it can be difficult for some.

Is anybody else in state getting charged for out of state tuition on cal central as well?

@svlab112 he’s taken a lot of the pre-req CS courses in community college already. I wonder if that counts or not, from a grade perspective?

Hey so do they ever run out of space in the traditional pathways and if I want to take the traditional pathway then how soon should I accept my offer?
