Do UCs have a “click to view decision letter” button, or do they immediately blast you with your decision when you log in? I know there aren’t going to be any rejections today, but knowing this would be useful for future reference.
Would they do a waitlist or defer or just reject during this early decision?
Last year my daughter got an email telling her that there had been an update to her portal. It did not say anything about an admissions decision. In fact, she opened the portal expecting that there would be a message that something was missing or that she hadn’t completed some task, so receiving a decision was a complete surprise. When she opened it, I think she got electronic confetti or something?
No - only acceptances, nothing else.

Waitlist or denials will be posted in March. Only acceptances in February.
No, it is just for a few special categories of students, such as those being considered for the regent’s scholarship (they are admitted early because they need to go through an interview process before the end of March.)

How the UC’s post the decisions in the portal will vary by campus. Many times the portal will be updated prior to receiving an email.
Are all the UCs doing the early admissions or just Berkeley?
Just Berkeley.
Only UC Berkeley does early admits.
UC Santa Cruz has admitted some students for the last few years at the end of February but the majority of all UC admits are in March for all the campuses.

No decisions posted. Not sure why everyone thinks today is the day for early admits??? My bet would be tomorrow.

idk why I keep track of decision dates (including alleged ones like this). it only stresses me out and creates nothing valuable in return.

Does anybody know how many received the MET video? People are alleging that around 200-300 received the interview request and among those who received this request, approximately 50-60 will be admitted. Is there any truth to this and will these “50-60” be admitted today?
Past years it has been the second Friday of February. I also got confused why there was so much speculation about today.
