Last year’s early admit decisions were posted on February 9, a Thursday.
I didn’t get one!! I’m worried a lot!! Does anyone have some insight that could help me ??
Aah so that’s why the frenzy. I remembered it as the second Friday. Probably a good thing I forgot the day, ignorance sometimes is bliss.
In the last 4 years it was posted on 3 Thursdays and only one Friday in 2021.
So perhaps they are returning to Fridays
If you didn’t get an interview request then you’re already rejected from MET and are now being considered for engineering at Berkeley. However, if you did get the video request, then you are considered for MET and the worst case scenario would be getting rejected from MET but accepted to Engineering at least based on historical patterns.
can anyone log into CalCentral with MAP@Berkeley?
I’m thinking that may have been to add accepted students to the account list
There was planned maintenance of CalCentral, but then there was an unplanned outage of numerous campus systems - at one point the whole campus lost wifi - even some classes had to be canceled. So there was a whole mess not related to anything with admissions.
Now that’s a very poorly timed outage. Imagine if it delays early admissions by a week.
Yeah so even if they had intended to release early admissions today, they may not have been able to.
So guys is it coming out tonight this Friday?
what time should we anticipate tonight?
Around 3:30 pm
is this ET or PT?
Pacific Time
What do you mean early admit?
Prospective Regents and Chancellor scholarship recipients are admitted early so they can be interviewed along with some High stat applicants and possibly special program applicants such as MET, GMP, Pro Sciences.
Only a small percentage of applicants are admitted early with the majority of decisions posted in March.
There is plenty of information posted about the early admits in this discussion thread. Select the magnifying glass on the top right corner of this discussion thread. Type in early admits and select search in this topic to filter all the posts for that subject.
when I use the search tool on top right corner, it searches the entire forum and not just this thread. Thanks for the info.
