yeah zoom is only open Wednesday, but I think you can still call the admissions office every weekday until 4? not sure exactly

schools don’t usually send offers on weekends since offices are closed, so if it dosent come today that means it’ll roll into June

I think the best time frame to hear back from them now would be between June 3 and June 10 (according to Copilot, lol)

Maybe we can try calling them on Monday… or if someone lives near Berkeley, they could visit and ask some questions (if possible, i think this would be the best way to get some answers)

Caltech—which actually said they under admitted to use the waitlist—said they have not accepted anyone yet and would give an update on June 1.

I went in person few weeks back, 2 students were sitting there. They are clueless and told me time frame from May to August. They are giving very general info.

They are not necessarily clueless, but even if they had heard something, students working in this job are only allowed to give you the official info they’ve been told to give out.

Changing the subject a bit… did anyone else apply to LSBE? I listed it as my first-choice major and Neuroscience as my second, but I’m not sure which one I’m actually waitlisted for. Technically, LSBE doesn’t accept incoming first-year students (you usually apply as a sophomore), but they still let me apply as a freshman, so I’m wondering if they changed the rules this year.

I could be wrong but I heard Berkeley doesn’t consider major work admissions and the waitlist..

These are not direct admit majors, so if you are admitted in either case, I believe that it would be as an undeclared L&S student. (I’m guessing that ā€œintended LSBEā€ students start out as first year L&S students rather than first year Haas students.)

yeah, I think only high demand majors… but thanks!

Is this happening today

it’s a sunday right :eyes: i know UCLA does pull people off the waitlist on weekends but are they really going to update today

Lets hope we get some info then!

I’m really hopeful that between this and the next week we might hear something…:crossed_fingers:

man i can’t wait for any longer lol… why is berkeley taking forever this year? even last year when the WL acceptance was really low, they started giving notification in may… it’s june already. i hope this means there’s a lower yield this year and they are carefully looking every application again instead of just the strongest ones to begin with
