other than major and second choice major, what else do they look over? i heard that it isn’t gpa or classes, but more like where u live, but idk if that would take THAT long
The waitlist review is just the continuation of the original application evaluation and no UC will disclose their exact process.
Honestly, I’m not sure… Yeah, last year only 26 students were admitted off the waitlist, and decisions were sent out in May. But thinking logically, the longer they take to release updates, the more it seems like there might be very limited - or even no -space available. It feels like they’re reviewing everyone very carefully to possibly accept just one or two students. I really hope that’s not the case!!

But also, this year was crazy competitive and extremely high numbers of applications… so maybe they have more waitlisted students to review
when do we find out the yield rate for this year? when does it come out? has anyone predicted anything for cal?
I don’t think anyone knows. Tbh i don’t think any questions are getting definite answers and it’s just a matter of waiting until decisions drop.

should we call this week or maybe stay low for a bit? maybe jus showing up in the virtual front desk… but till today no one has got to an AO, right? and each time we call we get a different or open answer…
If there are very few (<25) sports, they should at least tell us like they did last year 
. The wait is honestly just so painful.

I recommend actually calling the office on Monday. I don’t think anyone was connected to an AO through virtual front desk since sir2am did in early May.
