Hello! My kiddo was waitlisted (applied math in L&S) and offered the fall program for first semester (FPF) as their only option. I’m not finding a lot of information about whether odds are the same, better, or worse of admission via FPF. Does anyone have any insights on this? Thanks in advance!
Did you get offered a spot off of the wait list today??? but, it was for FPF?
no the person is saying they were offered to apply to the fpf program
Heard some rumors that someone from my school got off the waitlist for engineering a couple days ago. Dont know how true it is
It maybe true. Someone posted it in reddit
they don’t let u change ur major on the waitlist, i asked them
To the parent who said her son was waitlisted everywhere and might go to CC - I heard Merced is accepting students who didn’t apply but didn’t get into other UCs. Not sure if that’s helpful or not. Good luck.
Thank you so much! Yes, Merced emails daily. He is not feeling desperate to go away as much as attending the school he wants to graduate from.
Attending a CC will be a great option for him if he does not get into the schools he applied to via waitlist. I really appreciate the idea though. This site has been filled with very supportive parents which is awesome!
CCs have a great transfer program into the UCs. My older daughter went to UCLA since freshman year but many of her friends transferred after CC.
My other daughter did get into a couple of “safe” schools, but was waitlisted at her top 5 choices. So I’m in the same boat as far as frustration and angst. I hope it works out for all of us. It was so difficult this year.

Ok so does anyone seriously know when the appeals come out cause I’m stressing and I have UCI (I know it’s June 1) UCLA and Berkeley left and I felt I had really good compelling new info I just am scared cause I didn’t really get in anywhere else.
I know everyone who got in or waitlisted has worked super hard but I’ve been very anxious as I already got denied from UCSD and UCSB via the appeal and I worked super hard with a UC focused counselor to write them and had a (what I think was) a super serious extenuating circumstance in my app.
Have you contacted UC Berkeley admissions and asked? They are the only ones that can tell you the timeline.
Which number would I call or message to get that information?
Also I’ve been in contact with 3 other people who got in on appeals last year (via social media) and two of them got Berkeley on August 4th and the UCLA girl got hers on May 31st so obviously the other guy is lying cause it’s way too early (I think at least). August 4th is really late but I guess I can hope and pray.
Hello Everyone,
I Just wanted to ask, if anyone knows if there will even any major movement on the waitlist this year? and when do you expect students that are off the waitlist will be notified.
Thanks alot.
if anyone knows if there will even be any
No one knows except admissions so all anyone can do is be patient.
Just curious, what did your D24 ultimately decide on? Best of luck!
