We registered March 21 for Global Edge and April 25 for Freshman Edge?!
If he doesn’t get in why would he attend April 25?!

My daughter registered for that one. And you are right, it is confusing because who would even know they got in except for a handful admitted early.
wow… is this a mistake by UCB - we are unable to register for anything of those dates… so if you are able to register you are in? Sigh
I’m going to say it is a glitch. It seems many people received the email. My daughter was able to register with the email she used for her application. Have you tried that email?
yeah we did…it didnt work
All we can do is wait and see. I know my kid is not going to get her hopes up anyway because it feels like a glitch due to the 3/21 date. Best of luck to you
Was able to register fr Both April dates and March.
And this astrology worked last year? I dont want to pin my hopes.
Also, for the folks who couldnt register, did you actually get the email? Maybe its for certain majors only?

I’m not exactly sure what we’re doing here, but my email said we were invited to a 3/21 session. It does not say we’re invited to any other sessions.
However, trying to register at the link provided using the email address to which the message was sent, I get “This meeting is for authorized registrants only. Please enter another email address.” Which seems odd as we did get the invitation to sign up.

In the description, it states " Global Edge gives you a jump on your Berkeley experience during the summer of 2023". So confusing.
Exactly. it seems awfully early for systems to be updated to filter out by student emails
Just tried the link in the email to register for March 21 and it worked. Got a confirmation. Also searched online for Freshman Edge and registered for Apr 17, worked too. However, I doubt it means anything. I think D24’s chance to get into Berkeley CS is about 1%.

Well, unless the zoom just filled up, there does appear to be something going on here if some can register and others can’t using the email associated with the application.
The email states only that date, but when you click on Global Edge or Freshman Edge there are other dates available and those include after decisions are released.
And that’s where the portal astrology is coming in! Are the ones who can’t register all Engineering students?
We are Biology and were able to register with the applicant email.
One report of an engineering major above that can register.

d24 invited to the 3/21 session as well…Applied to college of natural resources. no problem registering for the session. THe date is likely before decision notifications come out so not sure it means anythings.
My son is a math major. Received the email. Cannot register for any of the events.
