thank you for confirming this information

i agree. i’ve spoken with a lot of people about the idea and it just doesn’t make sense: why would you give an ID number to a rejected or waitlisted student?

looks like we can take it as a very very VERY good sign for now, but that’s all it is until thursday

Where are the results of the poll located?

Yes, by Thursday night the portals will open and the answers to our questions will finally be revealed!!

40% forbidden now🥶

Why poll is ever needed? Calnet ID is concrete evidence.

would you say the calnet ID is solid evidence of an acceptance or just acc + w/l

Obviously! I explained earlier in this post.

401 server error means the user cannot be verified (not in database), 403 server error means the user exists, but not given the rights to view/edit.

but i think that’s partially because people are even more certain that not authorized means rejection, and are thus even more likely to close the tab without taking the poll, skewing the results even more than last year

it’s not concrete or obvious at all. we need to rule out the possibility of the system changing in some unprecedented way

software is updated all the time

and i know that ucla gives waitlisted students an id when they opt into the waitlist. it’d be unlikely for berkeley to give waitlisted students an id before they even opt into the waitlist, but we’re all cautious and want more evidence for that

do you think it could signify a waitlist was what i was mainly wondering
i’m worried about the possibility of w/l cause i wouldn’t get off of it, i’d need an acceptance

Does anyone have a method for people who previously took classes at Berkeley?

i am 95% sure forbidden → acceptance. try not to stress
