Hi, for UC, does anyone know where I can find admit rates by majors or department?
Our daughter is interested in Physics major so curious to see admit rates.

If the student will apply as a transfer, Transfers by major | University of California may be useful.
One thing to note is that UCB does not indicate Business. Although there were some small numbers of direct admits in 2023 for the MET and GMP programs. As for UCLA, I presume “business” must be pre-biz Econ” since UCLA does not have an undergraduate b-school.
Please note that not all UC’s admit by major especially into the College of Letters and Sciences which can house the Physics major so major choice may not be considered in the admissions process.

UCI is the most transparent with this link and select Major under the report Tab. UC Irvine Data Hub - Undergraduate Admissions
While you can’t find admit rates by major, when playing around with the UC data one time I found a merimekko chart where you could see the current number of students by major.
Again, maybe not useful for admissions, but interesting to see where students landed, especially those applying L&S.
