Is the applicant portal down for everyone?
Down for me.
Im pretty sure its just scheduled downtime.
Can be, but it is still odd to be down this long.
Has the waitlist started moving? I heard today on a different group that some OOS students have been offered a spot by Davis.
Some OOS and International waitlisted students were admitted on April 18.

My son was WL for CompEng at Purdue, and just got admitted as oos yesterday. In general it seems there is more oos movement, someone said that colleges might be low on their oos/international quota due to political/economic uncertainty, and are proactively reaching out to hit their numbers.
My kid is also wl at Davis, but turns out that w/o financial aid, the cost of Purdue and UCs is almost the same…

I got waitlisted for Biochemistry/Molecular Bio is there any waitlist data for that specific major? Also my alternate major is within that same college (Human Biology) is there a way to change it to somethings like Chemistry which is in a different college in order to heighten my chances of getting in? Whats considered within the waitlist as well and finally do you have any of your own predictions?
No, none of the UC’s breakout waitlist admission data by major since it can vary greatly from year to year.
You cannot change your major while on the waitlist only if you are admitted, enrolled and attend 1 quarter.
Any movement here? UCI has admitted quite a few students today from their waitlists.
I understand the list is unranked, but on the portal it says to expect a final admission decision on or around july 15, does it say this for everyone?
UCI website stated appeal decisions by June 1st. Does anyone know when appeals decisions were released last year?
UC Davis released appeal decisions from May 16 through the end of May. There are no specific release dates for appeals just like the waitlist.

It should be an easy decision, all the kids I know (in the Bay Area) prefer Irvine over Davis.
