Anyone else? Crickets for my waitlisted English major.
I was hoping for a big wave from UC Davis this week…However, have not seen as many get off the waitlist today and feels more like there are only a few open slots in specific departments that they are trying to fill their enrollment

My daughter got off the WL today at 12:17, poli sci major, in state. She has already committed to UCSB, but she wants to really think through this. Having a law school where she could create connections/mentors is a tough call for her, but she already feels “settled” at UCSB. I told her to take some time to think it through. When we started this process I had no idea waitlists would be such a thing (she is on 4 UC WLs!)…crazy. Hang in there everyone. I am sure there will be more movement as others come off of WLs and rescinding their SIR from UCD.

How long are they giving her to decide?
I don’t know. She is getting ready for her senior dinner/cruise in SF so I want her to enjoy that moment without thinking about this big decision. Will find out more tomorrow.

I got off the waitlist at 12:17 for Neuroscience, Physiology, and Behavior major.

Opposite happened with my son. Political Science major - accepted at Davis - came off UCSB wait-list on May 15th after he committed to Davis. SB was his target school but having time to look at Davis more closely- he stuck with Davis - especially considering the major and proximity to internships in Sac and the presence of a law school

Her graduation isn’t until Thursday so things are a bit crazy around here.
this is what she is struggling with, though they do have a good pre-law counseling program and made a good point of saying that it is easier for the undergrads at UCSB to get local internships in SB as they aren’t competing with law students…if a law firm wants an intern they would prefer a law student vs. undergrad…
Whatever she decides will be good. I was really surprised by my son’s decision considering how into SB he was but the delay gave him an opportunity to visit Davis and he loved the vibe - similar to SB but of course without a beach. They will all be great - whatever they decide!

Have any majors for cognitive science gotten off the waitlist yet?
I am not sure how the waitlist for Cog sci works given that it is an interdisciplinary program at UC Davis.
What about any waitlist acceptances for psychology? it’s not looking good at all
none that i have seen on this thread but you may want o search other sites such as reddit.
