Hi everyone! I wish the best of luck to all of you in getting into UC Irvine! Don’t lose hope, just be patient. It will come eventually. 
I got admitted on Friday morning and here are my general stats:
- Major: biological sciences
- UC GPA: 4.17
- ACT: 28
I did get rejected from UCLA and UCSD, but I got accepted into UCI and UC Davis. I am most likely committing to UCI. Good luck!

Just curious, but has anyone w/ a nursing major gotten in yet? This anticipation is bad for our health DX
@satnov15 My friend got in, and he has a worse GPA than me but he has a 31 ACT and I have a 1990 SAT (570 CR, 720 M, 700 W). I have tech/computer science extracurriculars out the wazoo (won the AT&T Hackathon, software dev intern at Dell, run my own tech YouTube channel which is moderatley successful, made my own iPhone game, etc.) What’re your stats/ECs? Do you know if lots of people with good stats have yet to hear? I seriously hope UCI doesn’t waitlist/rej me because I got waitlisted at UCSD, rejected at UCD, and rejected UCLA. I pray UCSB takes me too
Has anyone with mechanical engineering heard back from uci?
@gtims123 interestingly enough, i have seen quite a few people with high stats (4.1+ UC GPA, 2000+ SAT) left with no decision, while people with less than a 3.8 UC GPA and 1600 SAT score have been immediately accepted. no knock on anyone with low stats at all, i’m very happy for them (congratulations if this is you)! it IS weird that this has been the trend the past few days.
I just really hope what people said about only wait lists/rejections coming out at this point are wrong…
Its actually all ogre now sniff just gotta wait for that mass rejection next week. Not looking forward to that

it’s only been 4 days since acceptances started coming out, we still have another 11 until they’re done! hang in there guys, we’re all in this together <3

UCSD has given us all major trust issues. What happened to all the acceptances they said were “coming”? hmmm I wonder where they went to. Everything admission ppl say, I’ll take with a grain of salt from now on. Get it, because I’m salty. ~O)
@kaf120 believe me, i’ve also been extremely nervous, but what’s done is done! worrying about what we could have fixed or being anxious about the decision isn’t going to sway it one way or another, so there’s no point in dwelling on it. the only thing we can do right now is stay positive and think long-term, not just about where you go for the next four years
