Just reposting the latter part of my post:
Is it considered unethical to give an SIR to more than one university at the same time? There are many people who put down an SIR, but still do not enroll, isn’t it?
You an enroll in 2 schools prior to the SIR deadline however, you must withdraw from one of the schools before that deadline. If both schools are within the same college system like the UC’s, you will get a warning about double depositing and will be required to withdraw from one or face having your acceptances rescinded.
There are instances where you need to SIR to more than one school due to housing issues but again you need to withdraw one of the deposits before the deadline.
It is Unethical after the SIR deadline to be enrolled in multiple schools.
What happens in case of a waitlist? Say I am waitlisted in CollegeA and SIR in collegeB. Once the waitlist is cleared from CollegeA what should be procedure for CollegeB?
