Where on the portal? Thanks!
S25 accepted!
And we’re relieved to be partially vindicated by UC/Cal Poly overall experience after being 0 for 10 between 2 S’s up until now, with both S’s having similar stats as S25, below. UCSD is my alma mater, and although they don’t use legacy, I do party feel like it came through

Kid accepted, 3.94/4.67, Cinematic Arts. In-state public HS, top 9%. Don’t have all the details handy but lots of APs, Honors, Dual Enrollment and Concurrent Enrollment courses. His essays were really strong, told a cogent story. ECs were pretty good, and his long-term internship may have helped. Accepted to UCD, UCSC, SDSU, SJSU and a few other Cal States so far. Did not apply to any privates. Waiting on UCSB, UCLA and Cal.
May come down to a tough decision between UCSD and UCD, and he is feeling incredibly lucky to have such wonderful options.
The portals change and I do not have access but the decision should be posted once the student logs into their UCSD student portal.

She is very interested in writing and social issues, and her extracurriculars and PIQs reflected that. We are genuinely stunned at her success with UC applications. It probably helped that she wasn’t applying to impacted majors, plus I think her PIQs were authentic to her.

So sad to see this. No idea what these schools are looking at.
My neighbors child has 4.0 Unweighted and he was waitlisted for UCD, UCSD & UCI. Luckily Cal Poly SLO came through.
It’s a lottery out there…
This is surprising. That is some high stat.
