im wondering this too
AI, CS, and CE are all under the same college. Since you mentioned some people on the AI waitlist have been admitted, but thereās no news about CS.
Iām not sure whether to feel happy or worried.
On one hand, it might mean that no one has been admitted off the waitlist yet, so thereās still hope. On the other hand, Iām worried that maybe the yield rate is already high enough that they wonāt be admitting anyone else from the waitlist.

Any in-state for Mech Engineering got off the WL? Have kids gotten off the waitlist in prior years - for engineering?
I have not seen any ME admits for so far. Yes, there have been some Engineering admits in prior years but not necessarily ME. Waitlisted Engineering admits are very few other than the non-selective Engineering majors such as Structural and Nano.
has there been WL movement for either polisci or anthropology?

do you have an idea of how CS has been in the past couple years? I want to still hold out hope but not if itās something that doesnāt traditionally work out
I have not kept track of all the majors that are admitted but CS would be very rare if any.

update: i called and they said they donāt know how long itāll take and also that they donāt approve the appeals that much

Not to be a āDebbie downerā but in 2023, they approved no appeals and I do not have any data for 2024, Sorry. All you can do is be patient and get excited about UCR at this point.
