I’m guessing yields are lower than expected likely as a result of an increasing number kids applying to 20+ schools

My daughter was waitlisted for ME, was offered admittance for her alternate, Molecular Bio.

Daughter got accepted off WL on Friday late afternoon. OOS Earth Science L&S. She got a text or email notification to check her portal. We had just done a campus tour on Thursday.

Can you possibly share anything you know about Earth Science? Job prospects (if student not planning grad school), reputation, how it compares to similar, more popular majors like Environmental Science? My son was also admitted off the WL to ES but in-state. He’s leaning Berkeley or CP SLO but wants to learn more about the program.
