I hope when it finally comes it’s as great as I imagine.

@californiaroll - Without a doubt, you need to go to the school that is giving you a free ride, unless it is significantly lower in quality. UCSB is just a tad below UCLA. So please, don’t take on debt unless you parents are going to pay it off for you.

@californiaroll I think UCLA is much better than Santa Barbara. I personally wouldn’t give up a UCLA education and a UCLA network of connections for a free ride to UCSB

congratulations to the new bruins! I know it’s kinda late but i may or may not have blocked gone into a depressive mood over my admission decision, but I’m out of it, still pained, but i’m out. Just means I’m applying again in two years, but till then SDSU calls!!!
@AdaezeU you are aware that transferring to UCLA from a state/cal state is near impossible. For transfers they first consider community college transfers then transfers from other UC schools like riverside and finally if there’s any space remaining cal state transfers.
You’d be better off transferring from a community college or another UC
If I am not taking one of the AP test I listed on my application when I applied, do I need to alert the school?
@AdaezeU Your best bet is going to a CC in California if your only goal is to transfer, because it’s far less likely that you’ll be able to transfer from a CSU to UCLA 
Consider UCSD if you got into their impacted STEM majors. UCSD is like UIUC in California. It’s engineering is known on par or better than UCLA.
UCSD and UCLA are very closely ranked in engineering but UCSD has a lower overall on time graduation rate due to more severe resource constraints recently. Just make sure this doesn’t affect engineering students as much as possibly other majors.
Ok, so I’m an international applicant in IB who got accepted to UCLA, but I’m in a bit of a dilemma right now. I currently have a predicted 4 in IB HL English, and I noticed that their admission required a 5 or higher in all IB courses. If I also mess up the exam and get a 4, would they rescind my admission?
@IBProcrastinator I doubt it but I’m not sure. I’m actually in a similar situation. On my uc app I didn’t list on of my AP test scores because it was low, but when i send in all my AP scores via college board, it will be listed on there. Should I be worried?
@khanam I have friends and a cousin there and they are not having a hard time getting classes or with their plans to graduate because of resource constraints…they said only people who don’t carefully plan have issues and some who keep switching majors do too. Everyone else is cool and not being impacted by any budget problems, etc that you allude to.
