well I got the email 12.03 AM West African Time, so about 20 hours ago
I also got the Alumni scholarship email and I’m an international student
I got the UCLA alumni invite last month and I got the newbruins email at 6 pm EST.
My D got the “find your place” email at 10am this morning.
She is OOS.
Chemistry/Natural Sciences.
She received/applied the Alumni email.

It may not be fair to assume this yet, but I kinda feel like the find your place email is mass sent out after reading through a bunch of comments

Check when did you receive the last promotional emails to see if there is a certain time that the school send you those massive emails. I usually received emails from UCLA Admission at 7 pm PST. That’s the pattern that I found.
Same, I just got mine at 10 am. I also applied as a Biology major so I do think that the email was probably just sent in waves to everyone!

I really don’t think it means anything. I asked my brother, who was rejected from UCLA last year, if he received similar emails and he said he had. He also received emails for the Alumi Scholarships as well
You think they might be sending them by alphabetical order? I received mine at 6:00 am this morning and my last name starts with an S.
I think you guys are looking into this too much. There’s like a 95 percent chance that these emails are strictly promotional and are sent to all applicants. While sending the emails in waves is indeed weird, there is no way all of the CC community is going to be get into UCLA.

I agree that we are over-analyzing this. All I want to do is solve the mystery of the wave. Then what about everyone’s first name? Does it depend on alphabetical orders of people’s first name?
