Is there a Discord server group chat for UCLA Class of 2028?
My son said UCLA released the AP scores early, you can see them in your portal.
Yes, College Board sent it on 6/30 and UCLA had updated it on myUCLA portal.
The AP exams took in May are not released until July 8th.
Thank you! I texted my daughter, who was in Paris and running but stopped just to get this sneak peek! Great tip.
They are not released to the students’ College Board account until next week but UCLA does already show all scores for my S24 (the ones he took a year ago and the ones he took 2 months ago). This happened last year too, with people reporting that the scores appeared on their college site before the official release date.
College Board releases scores to students on July 8th but they release to colleges prior to that. UCLA has the scores and they’re visible in your student’s portal (this is a response to Bearshunter).
Thanks! I will let my nephew know, he’s anxiously waiting for AP Cal BC score, he should pass both 31A and 31B and take 32A in fall.
UPDATES: All 5s as expected. (thanks for the hint, we don’t need to wait for July 8th)
My nephew said that he didn’t order the AP scores and he didn’t make payment yet (he plans to send all AP scores together on July 8th, he only paid for transcripts. I just confirmed with him 5 minutes ago, he DID NOT pay for AP score report). But the AP score he took in May are already posted under his portal last week. I remembered my older son ordered and made payment before College Board sent his AP scores, I’m confused… Does my nephew need to make payment to College Board to order the OFFICIAL AP score report?
Thank you in advance!
@BearsHunter Did your nephew select UCLA to receive the “Free Score Report” by June 20? See details here:
Use Your Free Score Send Before the Deadline – AP Students | College Board This Free Score Report sends prior year AP Scores as well as current year AP Scores.
I’m not sure, I guess not as AP report only costs $12.
Since all AP scores (including the APs he took in May) are posted under his portal, does he need to make payment to College Board?
It sounds like he used the free score report - as most seniors do - and maybe didn’t realize it. As long as his college has the scores, he does not need to order and pay for an official report.
I was looking in the undergraduate scholarship application portal and noticed that a bunch of Alumni scholarships are listed there. Are these available to students who did not initially receive it from the prospective student application? Thanks!
Deleted - I thought I was in the UCB thread (rather than UCLA). Sorry about that!
If that is your real name, I strongly suggest that you change it to something more anonymous. How Do I Change My Username?
Any ongoing scholarships for OOS or it’s too late to apply now? He applied couple scholarships in early Feb., but never heard back.
Actually this was my mistake - I thought I was in the UCB thread and didn’t realize it was UCLA. I deleted my post.
Financial aid letters should be released over summer. If you were awarded a regents scholarship you would have known at the time of admission.
Hedrick has the highest concentration of freshman because the least amount of current students want to live there. It’s because it’s the farthest from campus. That’s the dorm I’d want to live in freshman year. You’ll meet the most amount of people out of all the dorm options. Dykstra is nice cause it’s closest to campus but you’ll see a ton of second years there. Switching isn’t that easy tho as it typically involves a 1:1 switch.
