UCLA Class of 2029 Official Thread

Seems like the UC Davis decisions are coming today, and riverside released theirs on the last friday of feb. so it could be possible that UCSD and UCLA come together next friday.

UCSB has gone on record that decisions are out 3/18. Two yrs ago UCLA and UCSD came out the Friday before. So would be 3/14 this year. Of course it could also not…

Good luck to everyone this week - or next week if the admissions decisions for UCLA are pushed back past this Friday.

For those who receive an acceptance and elect to attend UCLA, congratulations! Westwood is a phenomenal place to spend the next few years of your life. The unique convergence of academics at the #1 public university in the country, world class research at the graduate school level, Big 10 athletics, diverse club opportunities and Greek life, and the overall quality of life in sunny Southern California can only be found at UCLA.

For those waitlisted or rejected, summon passion for whatever opportunity you ultimately find and know that your college experience is maybe 10% of what the institution offers (i.e., what I described about UCLA above) and 90% of what you make of it. There are so many colleges and universities across the country that can deliver an amazing experience if you truly pour yourself into the experience and make the best of it.

Hoping for the best fit for all of you in the c/o 2029 …

Food for thought with regard to decision release date: apparently, the alumni scholarship deadline was moved from 3/10 to 3/16. Maybe that points to decision release on 3/21 (and not alongside UCSD, which is looking like the 14th)? Thoughts on the scholarship deadline moving 6 days and not 7? Why a Sunday?

Historically, it looks like the deadline was much earlier, first few days of March, last year on March 2. Might they have received fewer alumni scholarship apps than is typical? And if that were the case, is there any chance that, in a break from the past, they’d move the deadline to after decision release, like all the other scholarships?

Always heard UCLA would be -21st. With cal poly slo still not coming out D25 is going to have 8 decisions in -2 weeks. Going to be a wild ride.

Alumni readers start reading on the 22nd which strongly points to the 21st as the date.

This is the kind of optimism I love!! My son is waiting on both ( and many more…). I have a daughter at Cal Poly who is very happy. :crossed_fingers: for everyone!

I kind of thought the opposite. To me, pushing to the 16th means that anyone who didn’t get in on the 14th won’t submit and therefore, the alumni have less applications to sort through. Yes/no?

Really hoping for decisions this Friday. Good luck everyone!

@Whatsbruin on IG posted a “stay tuned…” with a picture of acceptance letter. Based on some past years, signs point to tomorrow…

This is the only sign that points to tomorrow… but, I hope you’re right

I saw. I hope this means tomorrow.

What are the chances that UCLA Student Media is wrong? Are they guessing, like everyone else, or have they received information from admissions?

Another thought… ucla and UCSD have historically released on the same day and UCSD seems very likely tomorrow. That along with this insta post makes tomorrow seem promising for UCLA, UCSD, and Pomona (who always is the same day as UCLA)!

And also probably Irvine! Lots of potential decisions tomorrow!

if it were to come out, would it be between 3-5 pst? And if so, more on the 3 end or the 5 end lol

From above…
