<p>What class were you looking for? </p>

<p>There may not be a lot of upperdivs tutors since all the tutors are candidates right now (a lot of 2nd/3rd years and some 4th years). Next quarter, the officers will tutor, and the majority of us are 3rd and 4th years (who have taken more upperdivs).</p>

<p>i know i could probably get the answer if i look hard enough, but still it would be great if someone here could answer this for me. is engineering 98 a compulsory class for all engineering majors INCLUDING CS majors?</p>

<p>also, i’m thinking of doing CS32, Life Sciences 1, Engineering 98, Math 32B and Physics 1A this quarter. does that schedule sound okay?? any suggestions? CS major btw…</p>

<p>Engineering 98 isn’t a required class at all as far I know unless the department changed something in recent years. Where did you hear about it being required?</p>

<p>applied for internships…how long does it take for the company to get back to you? is the time proportionate to your chances of being rejected?</p>

<p>try to call and get a hold of a recruiter and let them know you’re interested, otherwise you’re just a resume in the stack.</p>

<p>hey guys just have a quick question: how hard is EE1, EE2, EE3, EE10, EE101, EE102, EE103 on a scale of 100?
also I’m planning on taking the following during winter:
CS32
EE1
EE3
EE102
PHYS 4BL</p>

<p>is this too much? should I consider dropping one of them?</p>

<p>EE 3 is a seminar type of class, no work required
EE 102 might be harder now that Balakrishinan is teaching it</p>

That’s a pretty rough schedule. Phys 4bl takes a decent chunk of time for such a small lab class and cs32 is definitely going to take a decent amount of time as well. </p>

<p>actually, come to think about it, all of your classes will take a good amount of time (except for ee3). you might want to consider dropping ee102.</p>

<p>is it true that the GRE isn’t mandatory for admission to the M.S. in computer science program?</p>

<p>Was planning to take physics 1A for Winter quarter. Somebody suggested that i take physics 4AL with physics 1A because it would be easier as i would learn the material and then do experiments so it would be fresh in my mind. I wanted to ask, is that true? Or will i feel left behind in 4AL because they expect you to know everything already?
Another question, has anyone taken physics 1A with musumeci? How is he? I can’t seem to find anything on this man. Right now it looks like i will probably be taking Gekelman for 1A next quarter.</p>

<p>1)Anyone know how EE132a compares to CSM117? Or just how difficult either of them are in general</p>

<p>If you didn’t think EE102 and EE113 were too bad then EE132A should actually be a very straightforward class. I took it with Villasenor and homeworks and matlab projects weren’t too difficult. Exams were on the challenging side but again…if systems and signal processing is your thing you’ll probably do well. I had Yao for probability and while his lectures for EE131A were pretty useless, his homework and exams were decent so I’d imagine EE132A would be quite manageable as well.</p>

<p>I haven’t taken Stats105 but from what I hear from friends it’s really not that bad of a class…no where near the difficulty of EE classes at least. </p>

<p>The only thing on there that I have taken is Math132. A lot of people say that it’s one of the hardest classes that an EE major has to take just because it is an upper div math class and majority of the class will be math majors who know how to do proofs up the wazoo. It also depends on the prof. I took it this past spring and it was actually not bad at all. By far one of the easier upper div classes I’ve ever had to take (and I hate math). So basically I’d say the professor and how much you’re into math are the biggest factors to consider for taking that class.</p>

<p>So you actually <em>can’t</em> take the two at the same time.</p>

<p>Is Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering combined? Or are they two seperate majors? If it is, is there a program where you can double major these two, 'cause aren’t they relatively similar?</p>

<p>I thought i saw Lorenzelli as the instructor for that class. Now i’m ANGRY!!! :mad:</p>

<p>Stats was straight forward, but the average was high in that class. I walked out of the final thinking I nailed that ****, but the average must of been high because I didn’t get the A++.</p>

<p>The difficulty varies by instructor. Some professors give proofs on the exams while others give calculations.</p>

<p>anyone know if Liu is a good professor for Math 132?</p>

<p>who would u recommend for chem 20B: Baugh, Bauer, or Felker? which one has the easier tests?</p>

<p>Is it possible to do a summer internship over the summer after freshman year for a CS major?</p>

<p>Also, does anyone know if Gekelman uses Mastering Physics for Physics 1a?</p>

<p>^ yes it is possible to do an internship after freshman year. it’s going to be hard though.</p>
