I noticed that as well and came here to ask the same question.
Looking back at last yearās thread, it looks like they posted an identical message early in the waitlist process. It does appear that there may have been a couple offers extended before the message was posted last year, but not many.

Could be a coincidence, but they updated the portal with this red box yesterday (April 27), and last year they began releasing April 28. Wonder if weāll hear anything todayā¦

In that thread, there are some earlier posts about offers from the waitlist. I donāt know if those offers were really extended before the message was posted, if the message was posted some time before it was mentioned in the thread.

Im mainly caught up on the wording, it says, āā¦ not all decisions have been made for students on the waitlistā.ā that seems like its indicating a majority of decisions have been madeā¦ but this early on???

Yeah, but they used the same wording last year and itās clear from that thread that there was a lot of waitlist activity after the message was posted.
Did it come soon after, or does the exact date not show?

could also just be that thatās what they add to the portal once they release the transfer decisions

Good point, I didnt think of that. But also, I didnāt see this on Friday after transfer decisions or on Saturday. I think this red box was added early Sunday morning, because i logged in around 1:00 AM and saw it.
The portal is probably just programmed to display that message on the 28th since, historically, thatās when waitlist acceptances start rolling in, and itās also three days from the traditional May 1 SIR date. The same thing happened this year, only now the SIR date is May 15.

Then in that case, we could get a small number today?
I mean, Iām a waitlisted student just like you, and I hope so, but nobody knows for sure. Itās definitely possible, but Iām trying to keep in mind that it is still pretty far from May 15th. So, if I donāt hear anything today I wonāt be stressing.
