I wonder if they are gonna release any waitlist tmmr since the SIR deadline will have l passed for the majority of schools. I guess this would only be the case for out of state kids tho. maybe there’s a chance!
So true. Tom Petty was not kidding when he said the waiting is the hardest part. My eldest son is a UCLA sophomore, his mother and I are both alums, and our S24 twins are both waitlisted, so hoping for the best but committing elsewhere for now.

I came across a video on tik tok that said to keep an eye out for UCLA starting this Saturday. Who knows, could be total speculation though

I understood him to be saying that UCLA releases wait list acceptances on Saturdays, not that they would necessarily commence THIS Saturday.
That’s what I thought too, until I saw one of the comments where he said “I would keep an eye out starting this Saturday” and that they may start this Saturday. Who knows!
My son declined ucla offer and committed pomona 4/29. Because we have to pay same amount for ucla and pomona college.
UCLA doesn’t give aid much.

Yes. He is mad a bit at us. Hahaha. He wanna go to ucla . I hope your children will get off waitlist. I remember my daughter’s friend got off waitlist very quickly 2 years ago. He submitted loci ( actually i did not understand how he got waitlisted because he was really, really smart , got all ap classes A+. Good luck!
The waitlisted is as excellent as the admitted, just lack of luck.
The waiting hurts more than being rejected… I heard we may see the WL movement this Saturday, it seems like the torture is going to be over.

Most people I know did not accept a spot on UCLA waitlist this year. Wonder if that’s telling or anecdotal. I bet there is significant movement this summer.

I was wondering if anyone on the waitlist has received any news thus far.
One of my private schools did get my out of the waitlist before the deposit deadline, I don’t think that its too early to ask for UCLA just yet.
Below is what was posted recently regarding the Waitlist.
Decisions will be made on a rolling basis and will be posted here on our decision site. Please continue to check back. An email will also be sent to notify you once a decision has been made.”
No waitlist decisions have been posted.
Message on the portal says not all WL decisions are out yet so that suggests some WL applicants have already been admitted. Maybe a small wave filling certain gaps.
As far as I know, no one has been admitted off the UCLA Freshman waitlist. I have seen no one post an admission on the social media sites I follow.
