Is there a chance of having a second wave of engineering admits off the waitlist? I heard that a few of my friends got off, but I didnā€™t, so Iā€™m hoping thereā€™s still a chance I can get off too.

Possibly. Itā€™s a weekday and majority of in-state waitlists havenā€™t heard back, how much longer could they keep them waiting.

I have my own kiddo on the in-state waitlist for L&S, and I donā€™t want to be pessimistic, but is it possible that they are mainly accepting out-of-state/international students? I did hear that this happened in previous years.

Here is what @Gumbymom posted earlier in the thread:

ā€œThe UCā€™s are now capped at 18% total enrolled OOS and International applicants and all campuses need to comply by Fall 2025, so UCLA is trying to maximize these numbers first. I am sure they will start pulling in-state students soon.ā€
