Is there a chance of having a second wave of engineering admits off the waitlist? I heard that a few of my friends got off, but I didn’t, so I’m hoping there’s still a chance I can get off too.
I think there’s always a chance until you get an update with a denial! Fingers crossed for you!!!

is there possible a wave tmr?
Possibly. It’s a weekday and majority of in-state waitlists haven’t heard back, how much longer could they keep them waiting.
I have my own kiddo on the in-state waitlist for L&S, and I don’t want to be pessimistic, but is it possible that they are mainly accepting out-of-state/international students? I did hear that this happened in previous years.
Here is what @Gumbymom posted earlier in the thread:
“The UC’s are now capped at 18% total enrolled OOS and International applicants and all campuses need to comply by Fall 2025, so UCLA is trying to maximize these numbers first. I am sure they will start pulling in-state students soon.”

hopefully, i’ve seen people from previous years get accepted about 5 days after the SIR deadline
