@UCdad2 Hopefully this helps! If I missed anything or something looks wrong, let me know!
Now looking at this, there were two back to back waves (May 16/May 17), then a sizable IS L&S wave a few days later (May 21). We just saw two back to back waves (May 29/May 30), so maybe that means the next IS L&S wave happens in a few days (Monday)?
But then again, because theyâre being so random this year, I think this should be taken with a grain of salt. Just stating an observation haha
Yea bro hopefully theyâre cooking a big one
Mhmm exactly. I wouldnât be surprised if IS wave occurs tomorrow, or if another CS wave happens tomorrow lol cuz theyâre so random this year
They love the Engineering School this year so I wouldnât be surprised if we get another 20 or so waves before the next L&S wave
Since there is no discernible pattern in admits, I think the days UCLA admits off the waitlist will be tough to predict going forward.
I think there will be an IS wave soon, just because INT and OOS admits occurred this week and California applicants are overdue. But how big or small is anyoneâs guess.
Fingers crossed for a big IS wave, especially for L&S and the small schools, the latter of which weâve hardly seen a lot of IS action on.
Agreed! I also donât know if this would be a fair assumption⊠but maybe they are trying to get through a majority of their first-year waitlist pool before the SIR Date for transfers passes. I imagine it would get messy trying to manage both at once.
any appeals been responded to in the past few days? if so, did they send you an email?
Has anyone gotten off the waitlist for civil engineering out of state?
I havenât seen any in this thread.
did anyone who got off the waitlist get their acceptance package in the mail? i got off may 16th and havenât gotten anything so i was wondering if they still send them
Iâm really surprised there havenât been additional waves, or even trickles, of IS L&S admits. I suspect thatâs not a good sign and there may only be minimal IN L&S admits going forward. I hope Iâm wrong.
I honestly think the last IS L&S wave was the majority. The sheer number of people I saw say they got off makes me think that was their âbig wave.â I donât think weâre gonna see many more moving forward, but I hope Iâm wrong as well.
Sorry. I read your post wrong so it has bern deleted since it does not answer your question.
@Gumbymom Could you provide any insight on my previous post? Or is there still no way to truly tell? I just feel like all the signs point to it being almost over
There is really no way to tell since everyone is relying on social media posts to gauge the number of admitted students. Unfortunately, all you can do is continue to wait until a decision is posted one way or another.
I think they literally meant the acceptance letter in the mail, and stickers/swag, etc., not the financial package. Been hoping for some mail over here, too!
So even though there hasnât been a wave in recent days, it doesnât necessarily mean theyâre done with a majority? They could just be choosing a select day to release the next batch? The one and only thing that worries me is how frequent and consistent OOS and INTL have been, compared to IS.
My mistake. I will correct my post.
My son accepted a spot off the waitlist, and I got a random email about an incoming delivery from California. We live in DC, so itâs not expected until Monday, but Iâm hoping itâs a bunch of UCLA swag! (Itâs probably not.)
