YAY STACIE!! I didnāt get the chance to congratulate you bc Iāve been busy w grad and so many grad parties, but CONGRATS!! Iām still waiting, but tbh Iām super happy ab the school I SIRed bc itās a t10 anyways and perfect for me:) Iām still waiting for the UCLA WL, but I think Iāll be okay regardless of what happens moving forward

Congrats to whoever got off waitlist. My daughter is waiting on her appeal, anyone have any experience on the same ? Or heard anything on ucla appeal status or date ?

FYI for anyone just off the waitlist, or those coming off it soon (rooting for all of you). It takes up to two business days for all the UCLA systems to update your information- housing, orientation, and the MyUCLA portal. My daughter came off the waitlist Saturday and submitted her SIR that day. They give you a checklist of things to do, but you canāt do them for a couple of days. Just wanted to share so others donāt spend two days calling various departments trying to figure everything out. Good luck to everyone!

Thank you for posting this! I also got off the waitlist on Saturday, and submitted my SIR the same day. However, I havenāt yet received any emails about housing or orientation. Hoping I will hear from them tomorrow!

yup!! this is the same for pretty much every uc btw. if ur off the waitlist for another uc it might take a bit (ucsd took like 4 days to get my housing portal open).

Stacie, first off, congrats. We were all rooting for you in my household. There should be a link in your decision letter with a checklist of things for you to start doing. You can find it here. You will set up your login, apply for housing, and sign up for orientation. It has everything you need to get started. And it should work for you today, as you got off the waitlist the same day as my daughter.

Yes!! Just found out my housing is working today! But for orientation, I havenāt received anything in my email yetā¦ online it says:
āYouāll receive information soon after you submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR). Beginning May 28 at 3 p.m., you can sign up for a session. Youāll need your UCLA Logon ID to do so. You will receive a link to an online module called āPreparing for New Student Orientationā that you should complete before your orientation session.ā
I never received much in my email other than confirmation emails (ex. offer acceptance, SIR reminder, SIR receipt, PAL, and a welcome to UCLA email after SIRing). I had to do the pre-orientation survey, housing application, and new student orientation signup by myself without any emails to do them. I believe all the necessary links are on the Freshman checklist. However, somehow my UCLA logon ID was working within a day of submitting by SIR, so it may be different for you.

Yes, but I am a US citizen. Not sure if that would count me in the OOS pool. I committed last night
They donāt send a link. Follow the checklist, and youāll see the orientation items. Do the Pre-Orientation Planner first. There is a link for it in the checklist. Then, you can sign up for orientation. The new student checklist is now your guide/mapādo everything on your own. Do wait for UCLA. Let me know if you have any issues or questions. Iām going through the list with my daughter this week.
