did you choose double w/shared bathroom, or private?

I believe shared, because I heard that they’re cleaned more often. I hope that turns out to be true! ha ha.

I want a private bath! I’d rather not share one toilet seat and one shower stall with four to six girls, regardless of how many times it’s cleaned… Ahhaha.

But damn I hope I get a double… :\ Triples are so cramped.

Ew… Yeah… good point.

oh shoot, “shared bath” means one of those bathrooms we share with about 20 other people? lol… i don’t know what i was thinking when i did my housing app… i honestly don’t really care where i live as long as it’s not a dump…i’m worried with WHO i live with…

Right? I hope my roommate(s) is/are friendly and hygienic.

i thought shared means you just share with one other room?

Did you guys choose your meal plans yet, or do we do that later?

@higherhopes - Depends where you live. For plazas (which is most likely where we’ll end up in), shared means one other room (total of sharing between four to six people).

I think meal plans are later. No idea how we go about doing that, though…
Which plan are you guys looking to get?

the bear premier 14. i plan on going home MOST weekends, so that scratches out the 19. i eat my daily 3 meals, but i do plan on bringing some microwave meals and ramen, so that could make up for days i eat moreee…and i like flexibility so i’m going with the premier rather than the blue 14.

i think you can get by on a 14 plan if you stock up on cereal and fruit to have for breakfast.

Well the deal is live in University apartments in a double & keep my car (it’s about $1000 for parking + insurance ) or a Double Plaza on campus without my car… The difference is about even.

My first choice is University apartments. I have my own apartment now and I think it would be very difficult being in a triple on campus… Socially it may be more fun but I have made a lot of friends in my classes now & I don’t live on campus… lol I talked to someone that lives in the apartments now & he likes having a livingroom and a big kitchen to cook in…

My 1st 4 choices are University apartments & fifth choice was a double plaza… Sixth choice was a triple w/ a private bath.

If I get thrown in the plazas I’ll be cool with that too I just think the chances of getting a parking pass approved will be more difficult… The UV apts have the option for parking.

If anyone else has ideas or input I’d like to hear about it! This is a big decision!! So excited.

Depending on the price, I’d go with Bear Premier 14 since I think the whole roll over deal seems quite nice.

What did you guys put for housing preferences?
I put Plaza, Plaza, Hall… But I hear that’s not a good plan…

anybody considering the co-ops? i literally just found out about those. they are incredibly economical but they seem…awkward…anybody heard anything particularly good/bad about them?

This is the only info I’ve ever read on the co-ops:

[UCHA - University Cooperative Housing Association - Westwood - Los Angeles, CA](http://www.yelp.com/biz/ucha---university-cooperative-housing-association-los-angeles#query:ucla%20housing)

jeesh, i must have changed my preferences 10 times.
i think i’m going with:
plaza
suites
apartment

double shared
triple private
triple shared
double private

it’s such a tough decision. i just don’t want to get stuck with 1 person i dont like, or 2 people who don’t like me. is there anyone on here that has experience with this or knows someone who has?

I have heard it is better to be in a triple for that simple reason… you have better chances of getting someone you click with… But then 3 people in one room was pretty crowded. I guess if you are a minimalist it might not be as bad. lol

It is a very tough decision.

I can’t decide between living in a plaza without parking (and a car) or living in an apartment with parking! Ughh. So basically my choices are:

Plaza where I’ll pay ~1200 monthly for:
-Double/triple
-Meal plan
-NO PARKING. No car.

University apts where I’ll pay < 1000 monthly for:
- Double
- Kitchen, but no meal plan (I could get one though)
- PARKING! Hello car.

No idea what to do. First deciding between schools, and now this. Hahaha

sunnyseas!! My dilemma is the same… parking and living on campus w/ a double would just be too much money… Even the university apts parking isn’t guaranteed… :/

Damn the ranking part is so hard! I think I’m putting down university apartments. I really would like to take my car… Does anyone have the link to more information about them? Can’t find it.
