same!! I know and am trying to get comfortable with the fact that there is likely little to no hope at this point but it’s been impossible for me to fully move on and accept that it will likely be a rejection. I keep coming back to the fact that they wouldn’t have accepted people from the waitlist prior to the sir deadline if they had met their enrollment targets. The way that the waitlist was handled this year was beyond confusing, even freshmen had several waves following the sir deadline. I can’t help but hold on to a little hope which just makes me even more anxious
At this point I think I would be happy if they offered admission for fall 2021. California is going backwards with Covid. Especially where I live in Orange County.

Not yet , this is ridiculous at this point if we ALL get rejected I’ll be shocked they waited this long to tell us all no.
If anyone gets admitted at this point the enrollment deposit should be waived bc there’s no way they are getting in all their required classes .
@2020transfer2020 Sure as hell they ain’t gonna waive the deposit, lol. but what you mean by us not able to get in our required classes though? Surly transfer students haven’t register for classes, right?
I don’t think they are going to accept anyone from waitlist at this point.

I wish they did though! I’m just saying if we would be “last minute” I would assume the class picking would be slim but I didn’t know transfers haven’t registered yet !

Transfer here. Been looking at this thread to see when the waitlist has been released for my friend. Awful what they’ve been doing to y’all. Anyway transfer class registration for me is set to be next week. Hope y’all get in ?
@sstudent2020 I agree, it’s been so long that at this point it seems skeptical. I still have hope, but like you said its been so long! I hope we hear back soon
I think at this point our chance of getting off the waitlist is really low because UCSD did admit 1000 more transfer students in comparison to last year. Perhaps they anticipated this year they gonna have a low yield rate so they admit more people to make up the spots. Which in other words, lower chances for us.

denied! I sent them an email on Friday to let them know my disappointment in their negligence with communication, and received this thoughtful response yesterday:
"Thank you for your email and for expressing your frustrations.
Our waitlist for transfer students is still currently opened. Admission decisions are made to meet the needs of the university as we form our incoming class. We will notify students once the waitlist has closed.
Best,"
I hope that the school I’ll be attending this Fall will be more respectful to students and their intelligence.
