Hey everyone! I was accepted for civil engineering and just got an email that I received a grainger engineering scholarship! Can I find out what amount im gonna get or do I have to wait for like march31st? I want to know sooner rather than later bc I need to go to the cheapest school I get into.
Ya warning to all rd applicants - if you want to go to uiuc you gotta choose a second major especially if you choose engineering/cs as ur first choice - I was the only person I know who got into uiuc engineering and I know a lot of ppl who applied
My son applied for computer science at UIUC for early action but have not heard anything yet. Has anybody heard the decision for the early action for computer science. Thank you
all decisions were supposed to come out on december 13th. did you check your myillini account? I think they should’ve sent you an email (i got mine december 14th). also, are you sure you submitted it on time for early action? if you did you should call admissions on january 2nd (that’s when they reopen)
Thank you so much for your reply. I will check with the admission office of UIUC for confirmation when it is open again. Wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I got accepted but my acceptance letter does not say anything about scholarships.
Does anyone know when scholarship decisions come out? or did I not get any?
thx
@plato98… Being an Illinois State Scholar is only impressive to you and your son. Not to the Universities. At my son’s school like 3 years ago most of his class were state scholars. But it was the top school that year. The achievement to get is minimal for most top colleges. Hang in there. Better news is coming.
@SHS1990. Welcome to the college process that doesn’t make any sense. Lol ?
We are instate and my son did get accepted 3 years ago to both programs. He is at Michigan now. If you have any questions about the school or engineering program PM me.
apparently admissions will let you know by like march 31st or something. I got an email about a scholarship like two weeks ago, so I guess it just depends on their mood? but there’s definitely a possibility that you might get one.
How does UIUC’s SAT superscore work? Some say they consider the highest individual section across test dates (without super scoring) while others say they do normal superscore. My non-superscore is 1430 and superscore is 1470
@ash980123 Unfortunately, UIUC looks at your non superscore composite.
For example, if you have a 1500 super score with 650, 800 on one day and a 700, 700, they will look at the highest sitting test you send to them, the 1450. In your case, report the highest math subsection and the reading/writing subsection from the different dates, but report the non superscore highest.
