does anyone know the difference between james scholar and chancellor’s? are they both honors programs? and how is that different from the campus honors program?
125 freshman Chancellor’s Scholars across majors receive a $1K scholarship plus other benefits such as first to register, summer research & travel grants. James scholars are determined within majors and get priority registration (after Chancellor’s Scholars) as well as special programming & funding opportunities. CHP refers to Chancellor’s Scholars.
hey so i heard that financial aid notifications for ea came out today. I just submitted by fafsa on feb 18th and my fin aid portal said I didn’t receive any financial aid, but does anyone know if it could be reconsidered? (idk if they looked at my fafsa yet?)
I don’t think you should rely on what any of us have to say. You should speak directly with the financial aid office.
That being said, does your financial aid notification list the same Expected Family Contribution amount that was generated by your FAFSA submission?
so that’s where I’m kind of confused since I didn’t get a financial aid notification but when I click on financial aid summary it says I haven’t been awarded any financial aid. I tried calling the fin aid office but they put me on hold for over an hour but then it hung up and the office closed.
Generally there is accept/reject option for each financial award (FAFSA direct sub/unsub, Univ loan, Fed Work Study, etc.) and that process repeats every year.

Curious what other offers did she get?
Incoming freshman are are still waiting on many UIUC merit/ scholarship notifications, correct? I was told I am a GFX scholar and the scholarship amount would be announced later.
But seeing so many say they already received theirs in the portal makes me nervous. Mine only has loan options…
I know Engineering scholarships were released but does anyone know when LAS merit scholarships will be released?
HELP I do not see a fin aid portal under my freshman admitted checklist in myIllini?? How do I check for scholarships?
THANK YOU
Would like to know if anyone from the class of 2024 received OOS scholarship from UIUC.
I received the Illinois Engineering Enhanced scholarship of 40k and I am OOS (California). I also received entry to the Grainger Engineering James Scholar Honor program
Do you mind sharing when and how you learned that you received this scholarship?
Admitted to Comp Science + Economics with the College of Arts and Sciences. We are OOS. No Fin Aid received at all.
