Nobody knows yet. All we know is that an email went out to prospective students such as myself saying that decision notifications will be going out starting the week of December 9th, and that they will be released in batches.
My son applied RD to UMass 2 years ago and they didn’t notify him about his acceptance until months after all the other schools had accepted him. It was terrible.
Did anyone apply EA and get a response yet?
@Harding about 2 weeks ago, some number of International students were accepted… check page 2 or 3 of this thread…no one here knows of any US based results… nor exactly when they’re going to start other than the email everyone got saying they’d start releasing the week of Dec 9th
Just got my status update!
We just checked the application status page of U Mass Amherst and are delighted to inform that my son has been accepted. They posted the decision today. We didnt get any email so I would recommend that please check the application portal. Good luck to everybody.

@Bandmom69 Just got the status update online and my daughter just got accepted! I checked about 4:00 today. There were no emails to indicate that she should check, so you just have to keep checking your portal. She was admitted as a physics major in the College of Natural Sciences.

I applied September 21st. In theory, I should get a decision in the first wave, but I did apply under an engineering major. So maybe closer to Christmas??
Accepted today for computer science! Also accepted into the honors college and got the Chancellor’s Scholarship.
I’m out of state (from MD), 1500 SAT, 3.7 UW, 4.1 W, 10 AP classes, robotics team captain, 3 years of varsity cross-country, and I’m the leader of a technology club at my school. Also had a job this past summer in my school’s technology department, and I’ve won a couple of awards for cross-country and robotics.

I applied Engineering a few years back and submitted everything early but didn’t hear back until January
on Reddit there are a bunch of CS majors getting accepted… which goes to show competitive majors can release early… CS is more selective than engineering

Accepted as a public health major with chancellor’s award. 34 on ACT and 98.4 weighted gpa. I’m out of state.
