Does anybody know when the first wave of EA decisions came out last December?

I think they came around 10-11th December

Received the following email from UMass Amherst, 4 hours ago :-
Here’s what’s next in the Early Action process:

  • We release decisions for Early Action applicants throughout December and into January. Not all EA applicants will receive their admission decision on the same date.
  • When your decision is ready, you will receive an email letting you know to login to your portal, so be sure to have your login information. The message will go to the email address you used to apply with us on your application. Information about decisions will not be given out over the phone.

We know it’s not fun waiting — especially when other people might hear their decision before you. But don’t stress! Check your portal periodically, and make sure that we have everything we need from you. As long as your portal says everything is submitted then there’s nothing more to do but wait!

Admitted early action. Saw it on portal around 3pm (and haven’t received an email about it at all yet - its about 9pm now.)

I’m in state, applied on the deadline of 11.5 for early action.

I’m not comfortable giving my stats, but want to let others know that there is hope for those of us without any AP classes or tests, nor massive extracurricular lists.

Didn’t get Honors College nor any merit aid.

quick question
Do the scholarship amounts vary per student even though they got the same scholarship??
For instance, do 2 students who get the dean’s scholarship get different amounts??
(Just curious, since the website hasn’t specified any specific amount)

History was my first choice and got it.

To all: Never got an email (checked spam, trash, etc.) But for sure accepted - still in the portal today. I paid the $500 deposit last night.

My daughter got a 16k Chancellors Award. We are out of state so I suspect In state may be a different amount.

I’ve seen OOS Chancellor’s awards of $14K, $16K, and $17K reported from various sources.
