Does anyone see that scholarship button in the portal? I do not see anything like that, and now I’m wondering if that means he’s not getting a scholarship at all.

Well, portal astrology means nothing! You don’t know until you do. Usually profs list what merit they’d like to award students, but it must go through multiple admissions processes before it’s finalized. Could be more, could be less. But remember, we don’t know until we do!! And Thursday will be the day to look for info.

Sadly we do not have that in our portal, and now I feel horrible and incredibly anxious, lol, but not lol. This process is so anxiety inducing.

It’s seriously the worst! Such a roller coaster- excitement for getting in, then disappointing financial news. And it feels like it’s never ending! I know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel- and everything works out- but it’s definitely stressful!

Thank you, I’m super sad right now, but luckily the boy is out at orchestra rehearsal so I don’t have to hide it!
Gah! I did not mean to induce anxiety! I regret posting now because I’ve fallen victim to portal astrology and it ended up causing panic for nothing. We are all in this horrible, wonderful, ulcer-inducing process together.

Thank you, we are dealing with a few really tough life things over here at our house in addition to this, and I was so hopeful that maybe just maybe this can work out for my son. Sadly without merit money it won’t happen.

Also, we’ve had to have many many conversations about how acceptance is only the tip of the iceberg and that sometimes you can’t financially take your top pick. It is so heartbreaking to get so close and not be able to make it happen for your child. I have been sleepless over this.

Ok- so we don’t have the button in the portal yet. But on Wolverine access (different than enrollment connect) we can see an offer under the new and prospective student tab. There’s a financial aid link and another tab to select (award summary, accept/decline awards etc)
There’s nothing under the “award notices” tab but we do have something under the summary and accept/decline tabs…
So maybe check there…
It does say something about the summary maybe not reflecting the official award, but worth checking out!
