Did not submit SAT or ACT scores
Coming from a CC in NC
Leadership position in one club
4.0 college GPA and have my AA degree
Have held at least one part time job since I was 16
Volunteer at local animal shelter
I did not apply to UNC when I was in high school, but it’s my top choice. I’ve been accepted into NC State, so I’m hoping my chances are high
Also, do we have any idea when we could expect to hear back? I saw someone post the decisions dates from previous years and it seems most came out the week before. I’m hoping it’s today or at least by Friday.
It’s absolutely unpredictable. The last couple of years it has been the Friday prior to deadline (so it would be the 12th) however, years prior they have done it on a weekday the week before. It will certainly be this week. I wish you all the best of luck. Please don’t forget to come back to this thread and let us know your results! When I emailed they said
It will definitely be closer to Mid-April. We release all our transfer decisions on the same day and historically it is quite close to the middle of April. If we are able to release a few days early, we will, but I’d set my expectations closer to April 15.
when did they send you that email?
Someone should take one for the team and call them asking for updated guidance on result release date and time… we need an agent on the inside!

I spoke with someone in admissions a few weeks ago and they said “around April 15th”. I think the 12th is more than likely going to be the day but I will be checking my portal every 5 minutes until then lol. If anyone sees on their mycarolina the check list disappear or the withdraw application button go away, pls share bc that seems to be a sign that decisions will be released that day or shortly after but I’m not completely sure.

This is what they always say- a few weeks ago they wouldn’t know how quickly they’d get through decisions. As of now, they should have an idea what day they’ll be released.
Lol yeah! I don’t want to be a bother to them, but I feel like it’s really unfair to make us wait this long. Every other school I applied to, I heard back within weeks of applying. The only other school I haven’t heard back from is UF, and I submitted my application in September…
I typically have seen where they say the decisions will be released on April 15th even if they are released before so I think that them saying around the 15th means that we will def get them before the 15th but idk lol
I think it’ll definitely be before the 15th (hopefully lol). I think they released a little later last year because the 15th fell on a Saturday. But in the previous years, it was the week before, so hopefully we will hear back before Friday because I am tired of waiting LOL

Waiting is actually painful! Like I NEED to know now so I can deal with a rejection earlier rather than later
I think you have a pretty solid application! In-state residency is also a huge benefit. It’s hard to know tho. The transfer acceptance rate has been around 45% per the common data set, which is almost double the freshman rate.
Spoke with admissions just now. My supervisor at work told me I can have the day of results off to either celebrate or cheer myself up. I told them I wasn’t sure which day to take off as it wasn’t clear what day results would release. I was told “We can’t say for certain, but if I were you- I’d take Friday off”
Looks like we have our answer more or less!

Yay! Thanks for calling! At least we know a day now. The wait begins…. I’ve been soooo nervous since I submitted my application, but I’m so excited/nervous to hear back. Unfortunately I’ll be at work on Friday, but maybe I’ll be on my break when decisions come out haha
More than likely they will release from 3-4. My guess would be around 3-3:15 or shortly after 4 maybe? I think when I got my first year decision last year it was right after 4 but I can’t remember exactly.
