Also, just because more people have been vocal about applying doesn’t mean that more have applied. I think the numbers have been pretty consistent in past years, so it may just be more people discussing transferring/looking for a community to discuss transferring. I could be totally wrong but that’s just what I’ve been telling myself to help my anxiety

I wonder what the acceptance letter will say? Some colleges have confetti on the screen, but I don’t think UNC does that. Hopefully it will start with “congratulations.” Manifesting an acceptance for us all!
Yes I don’t think they have confetti. If I see anything besides “congratulations” at the beginning I might die
Hoping this will be on all our screens on Friday!!! UNC seems like a very transfer-friendly school too. They have a residence hall specifically for transfer students, Carmichael, right next to the football stadium!

is there possibility that it will be released like on a day that is not Friday? It sounds like they usually release the decisions on Fridays?
I think it would most likely be this Friday between 3:00 and 4:00. Someone on this thread spoke with admissions and said that if they were them, they would take Friday off work. Although I do wish the decisions were released earlier this week, I’m glad we won’t have to wait until next Monday. Fingers crossed lol

yea I was accepted during first-year and checked the time it was released-it was Friday 4:24 pm that I received the decision email!!! prob around this time, but I am very nervous since my college gpa was REALLY BAD:(
but probably Friday afternoon before they leave work!!! I need a companion to literally cry with me after the release since I have 0 hope:/
Same I’m so scared. I’m going to be at work on Friday at that time, so i probably won’t even be able to check my phone until later
because I am scheduled to cry on that day, I probably schedule a travel or something on Friday afternoon. hearing the tragedy during the travel would be at least better. Otherwise, I will end up getting depression lol!
We got this!!! 2 more days. We’ve already waited months, we can do another 2 days!!

No AP classes (hoping they won’t look too much into my high school stats)
Couple honors classes and took 3 classes offered by my local community college
Had like 200 community service hours through HOSA and another club
Worked part time
College Stats
NC community college
4.0 GPA (made presidents list every semester)
Vice President of PTK club
Worked like 30-40 hours per week between two jobs
LOR from my English teacher (didn’t read it but I’ll bet it’s a pretty decent letter)
Volunteer at animal shelter
I’m hoping that my in-state residency will give me a boost but idk if not taking any APs in high school will kill my chances
So far, I’ve been accepted into the App State Honors College, UNCW, NC State, and Florida State. UNC is my top choice
hmm in my opinion, college perfect gpa will boost your chance a lot. I heard that it’s like 90 percent college gpa for transfers, unlike first-year cycles, which are usually quite holistic! also, I don’t think your high school stat or experiences would matter that much!
